The included FM radio app is awesome, but since the app will only work with earphones plugged in, will you please include the ability to toggle the speaker off and on also while listening to the radio? With other apps the speaker just turns on automatically when the earbuds are disconnected. If that update to the app could be made, it would be great. Also, if there is a cable on the market you might recommend in order to keep the phone charging while listening to the radio. Thanks

Thank you for making this phone. This is my daily driver now and love that I can use my banking apps in a flip phone that is fully waterproof and rugged. Please update the OS/ Security patch and make a gen 2 of the Cat Flip! Lots of love from India!

I bought this phone last year, and have loved it so far! The build quality is remarkable, and has definitely been put to the test thanks to the conditions I work in and my tendency to drop things! I do have a few questions though:

1: When will the next update be, how long are updates supported, and will it be updated to the next version of android go? I have noticed a few issues with the OS and stock apps, which I have reported, and see a few other issues on some forums. I am just wondering when they will be fixed. My last update was in June of 2022, a month after I bought the phone.

2: Is there any way to make all notification icons show up on the outer screen? If I have an alarm, a call, a missed call or voicemail, the notification icon shows up. Also, if I receive a text when using the stock messaging app an icon appears, but ONLY for the stock messaging app (which I do not use anymore due to some issues I have had with it). If I could get all the same icons to show up on the outer screen that show up on the notification bar (ex: email, whatsapp, weather alert) that would be super handy.

3: Will CAT ever make another flip phone? I love the s22 flip, but there are definitely some improvements that could be made: If there was slightly better specifications, a better camera, a slightly larger screen, and maybe full android, I don't think I would ever need to buy another phone!
I know it's a tall order to cram all that power into such a small area, but It certainly can be done, as shown by Unihertz's jelly series.
The plastic bezels are huge on the phone and could definitely shrink a bit (as shown by the renders in the trailer), which would make the phone much more user-friendly.
Full android isn't necessarily needed, but the android auto would be nice to have--to make navigation less cumbersome

All this combined, and you will have made the perfect phone for any practical person!

Overall, I have gotten well over my money's worth for this phone, and am very satisfied with my purchase. Keep up the good work!

Does anyone know what the sensor is for in the upper right corner of the flip display? (opposite the forward facing camera)

I just purchased one of these phones for use on the job. Overall I'm impressed. However, having used it on a job site there are two improvements I would strongly suggest. The first is to optimize usage of all available surface area for the screen. The screen is 2.8 inches. That works but only just, the plastic covering which houses it is 3.8 inches. Please eliminate the besel. Most men have large fingers so even the extra inch would help with using the touchscreen. The second suggestion is to please improve the camera. When on a job site I sometimes need to take photos of displays from various pieces of equipment in order to forward those readings to co-workers. The shots come out blurry if I take them up close. If I take them from far away, they're blurry when zoomed in on.

On a less job related note. Please keep the FM Radio. It's nice to have and I'm impressed with how it sounds, also that it can be recorded and the station info comes up. Carrying around a special cable to plug headphones into it creates an extra task not to lose the cable. It would have been nice to have had a dedicated jack. I can't really complain about that too much about though. It's not job site related and some phones don't even have a radio. Only reason I mention it is because I'm also using it as my personal phone now.

LOL I bought mine, it's coming soon haha. I'm switching from a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra to that phone to get some life haha. I want to be more productive and get a life instead of staying hours and hours in front of a huge 6.8 inch screen. For camera I'm gonna use my small Canon camera G9X MarkII where ever I go. Smartphone eddiction is becoming the new miserable norme for our future generations, so no life, and show-offing in social media

Bought one, it will not do the update and then it just restarts, have tried a dozen times... know any tricks... to force update or do manually... it gets to about 30% install then fails....

I think this phone could be famous worldwide if Cat will do proper marketing and distribution of it because nowadays most of people have enough with social media so we need dumb phone with a little bit extra features.

Got one and the battery drops 25% overnight when I am not using the phone. No gps or Bluetooth on and the lid closed. Going to return soon.

How do you do speed dial on this phone?

It's not really a flip phone as the screen is only on as long as you don't ever close the phone. If you do the screen will stay black until you restart it. So it's a great phone for leaving open on a table somewhere it's hard to keep it in your pocket like that. I just leave mine at home and check my messages when I get back from work.
