Question: is Sonicpass a viable alternative to V Collection or Kontakt? I like the idea of Sonicpass's combo of a very large samples library for quick workflow but with the power of Falcon for deep diving (putting aside the arguments over the value of subscriptions). Thanks!

Been big fan of the "KORG Collection 3" for years. Last year took a chance on Arturia's V 9 collection half price Black Friday Sale. Was absolutely blown away at the quality and quantity of great sounding vintage Synths! Best music investment I've made in a long time. Life is good! Thanks for a great video, very informative, also got me playing around with the SQ80 V which I had not yet tried. So many great Synths, so little time!

Of all the atrocious soft synths that are out there, Arturia managed to invent the most distinct flavour of ugliness. Feels like someone pumping an aerosol version of battery acid directly into your brain's pleasure center.

Is it possible to save the sounds ?

i don't use arturia. installed it everytime update and never use them. i don't see them in the future.

Can't go wrong with the V Collection, it's wonderful, BUT I wish Arturia would think beyond the midi controller and make a keyboard that can be loaded up with the V Collection presets and played without a computer (an Analog Lab Keyboard if you like). Roland have now done this with with the release of the Jupiter X, Fantom etc. This is the future of software synth and hardware integration. Design your sounds on a computer -> load them on the keyboard -> leave your computer at home -> head to your gig!

Good morning Cameron, a tad late to the party but can you tell me if the sides of that Arturia midi keyboard are that awful brown like the white version ? And yesterday I purchased an A49 Native keyboard as an upgrade to my little Oxygen 25 and found a huge difference in "key feel" where the Oxygen 25 keys are light and easily pressed whereas the A49 keys are rather firm and sort of "CLUNK" down for want of a word of which makes me wonder how the keys feel on the midi I want to buy next the S61 Native OR whatever the "PERCEIVED" new keyboard launch is from Native in June but I'm just an amateur. I've got Pigments and would like the V9 collection but money is wittering down rapidly on what I can only describe as a "Musical Magpie Mayhem" in the software spending department with things I DON'T need but love. Anyways, digressing again I DEMOED Electra 3 from Tone2 last night and THOUGHT it was a far cry from the original fabulous Electra2 but maybe I'm going ToneDeaf in my older years !! I'm rapidly becoming an Arturia enthusiast. I was planning on buying a Kawai MP-11SE digital piano, but they were not available, and will not be available until July 2023. After much investigation, consideration, trepidation and procrastination, I bought a Keylab88 mkii, rapidly followed by a minifuse 2. No regrets! I don't think I can resist the V collection 9.

Well... for those like me who have supported the company from start to all the V series and buying the Pigments and the OBX (now OPX)... i think the upgrade price is not a good treatment!
So this time i'll skip the V9 upgrade and I will give Arturia another chance with the next Vxx upgrades! We'll see!

Of course, poor Five couldn't attend the party you mentioned at the beginning. The mach-men and the machines did him in years ago.

Nice sounds but the patch system is a complete nightmare for musicians.
Seems like it's made by and for engineers rather than musicians..

Mate, I could listen to you play with the augmented strings for hours. I started to shut my eyes, it was really nice!

I'm not even a keyboardist... But I saved up enough Amazon bucks to get a "free" key lab 88 that was an open box, so it was 150 bucks less than full price. I ended up getting the legs for the keyboard, because why not. I got to be collection eight on sale for 300 bucks. Then I upgraded to be collection nine, cause why not? I just got an expression pedal, so now I can do the funky clavinet with the Wah pedal. ...all this so I can invite my musician buddies over to fuck around in my 26 track basement studio (MOTU 828es with 2 ProFire 2626 boxes in stand-alone mode as AD/DA for ADAT connection to the 828es. Good times.

What is the looping software that you were using?

I love the New Arturia V collection 9. It's amazing! I've been using Arturia from day 1 of their first releases. It's improved an incredible amount over the years of updates. I highly recommend it to anyone into producing music. BTW, I enjoyed your demo... you play great! 👍 👍

I have the 3.0. I never maneged to get it installed. Adn it seems I never will because of the registration process. After I downloadedit, I found out that diferently from advertosed some synths were no WXP compatible and also the Spark Drum were no longer available. I was REALLY afetr the Virtual SIMMONS SDSV and that 70´s rythm machines. I find it fantastic for the cost-benefit.I still miss some "classic" clones. Question: If you upgrade do you loose other machines? Thanks. :)

Does anyone know: how do you start a 'new preset' i.e. a blank sheet with each instrument? I can only find "New Preset..." in the standalone version of Pigments but any instrument in Analog / V Collection 9 (including Pigments) doesn't have this option.
