Baptism is a wonderful sacrament. It gives the best possible start in life to a child. It gives them the gift of the Holy Spirit and incorporates them into the mystical Body of Christ. Yes, as they grow up, they have to commit themselves afresh to Christ and His Church, which I think is what Confirmation is about. This is not to say that unbaptised people are outside the scope of salvation.

“Baptism saves you”. Wow ok that is heresy! No wonder the Reformation happened. Try reading Ephesians 2 brother. There is nothing we can do to add to Christs work on the cross.

It's wrong to baptize a baby. Do babies make decisions? look at Acts 2:38. the Catholic Church believes that Peter was their first pop as they claimed, then why are they not following the path of their first pop Peter but are doing something wrong?

I agree with everything you said, but I believe that you need to be cognizant of what you are doing. So you need to be older than an infant. That's my view.

Im Protestant but I love your scriptural explanation of the importance of baptism. I feel this is a lacking of emphasis among Protestants. Even as an adult, baptism really does change things spiritually. It’s always beneficial to follow the precepts set forth in the Bible, and if Jesus did there certainly must be a profoundness to it. And I agree that as a parent your faith for your children is of importance. Thanks for your explanation. Love this and it’s so beautiful,

Only the Holy Spirit can make you a child of God.
Not being in a building with a man in costume using special water.
It is an act of the Holy Spirit alone.
Then you come into agreement with the Holy Spirit to die to your flesh and follow Jesus Christ.
The baptism is not what saves you.
The reason WHY you are baptized which is your change of heart by the Holy Spirit is what saves you.
A baby cannot understand that he is a sinner.
A baby cannot repent and turn to Jesus Christ.
If someone or some religious organization claims to have these powers,
you know without a doubt that it is not from the Most High.
You know because they have given themselves the power to do what only The Lord can do.
Read your Bible.
And only the finished work of the Bible
They are hoping that you won't.
They are counting on it.

Acts 2:38 …Repent, and be baptized…for the remission sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Salvation comes through this scripture, it’s important to follow this teaching, and teach others to follow this teaching, right?

This is from the book of the acts of the apostles, NKJV:

36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”

And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

Can an infant believe with all their heart? They can't. A baptism has to be your own, conscious desicion. And that is why baptism does not work on infants. That's how I see it.

No, baptism is NOT necessary for salvation. It is a public expression. There is only 1 thing that saves you: accepting Jesus. That is it. A baby cannot be washed of their sins through baptism because they haven’t even committed any sins yet. And the nail in the coffin is the sinner nailed on the cross alongside Jesus. He believed and accepted Jesus and Jesus told Him “TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE.” The sinner didnt come down off the cross to be baptized. He died and then went straight to heaven. Catholics have this all wrong

I am catholic, and Protestants always quote Colossians 2: 11-12

12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

How do you respond to “through your faith” does an infant have faith ? and it says “through YOUR FAITH”. I always have a hard time with this verse. How can I respond to this specific verse ? I know you address it, it’s the family faith but the verse does say “your faith” Thank you and blessings

Fr. Mike : I’m terrified to watch this video because of trauma so if someone or Fr Mike could tell me/ help me after I share this :

I had my 6th child, a daughter on May 12, 2021. It was a scheduled 6th csection. The parish where we were registered new but due to me being on bedrest (hubby is a truck driver away for weeks) we had only been there a few times and had only been Catholic less than 2 years. I called them and they couldn’t schedule her baptism for her first week of life. They had a special process and it would be months before they had an opening. It was a difficult process which I could not at all understand.

My previous son was born 18 months prior and where we attended TLM in another state before we moved, he was baptized at 4 days old and all I did was call the Parish. The priest met us there, we had the two godparents and he was baptized in the TLM. Easy, simple beautiful.

My daughter died at 10 weeks old before she could be baptized. We hadn’t picked a date yet for her baptism but planned on as soon as I was healed and we could get back to Mass (most difficult csection, rough delivery) I figured I would just ask the priest at the Sunday Mass and got everyone new clothes so we could go. But our daughter died that Thursday morning in her sleep (SIDS)

During the funeral preparation with the same parish we tried to have her baptized at the deacon and priest were shocked she hadn’t been baptized. They told us all we had to do was bring her up there and they would have baptized her. 😭😭😭💔💔💔 I found out this is happening to a lot of people. I’ve heard about baptism of desire BUT I have had these nightmares about her being in limbo 😭😭😭🙏🏽💔 It makes it hard to breathe. Can someone tell me more. I need to know my baby is okay and with Jesus. We tried we tried to set her baptism date for her first days. 😭😭😭 why did they make it so difficult to set up.

Catholicism has never made sense to me we have a direct line to God through Jesus we don’t need a priest to talk to him. Catholicism feels like Jewish people that wanted a free pass to Heven without changing their habits and rituals. If anyone can help me understand why Catholicism above Protestantism I will seriously consider.

Sir, no where in the Bible does it say to baptize babies. Christ told the disciples to be baptized and while I know the disciples were pretty young, they were not babies. It was not meant for the Catholic church and now you have all these people to believing in your man-made doctrines, practices and traditions. The Catholic Church is so famous for changing the words of God, that He wrote Himself, since 1851. The Catholic church already changed or re-worded 3 of God's own Commandments, thinking they are equal to God, Stop putting your own interpretion and man-made ideologies into God's Word. After the Church's leader Gregory's death, the church went corrupt. The Lord talks about how we will know His people by their fruits. Sir, the Church has a very long history of corruption, sex scandals, stealing from the people, cover-ups, the evil under the Vatican, calling yourselves father, putting your Popes above God, idolatry, the love of money, the majestically built churches, lack of witnessing around the world, approval of same sex marriages, praying to Mary, the disciples, along with how you started changing the truths behind what the Bible states to actually rewritting your Catholic Bible. You cannot change things weather you like them or not. Stop being the Pharisees & Sadducees because you know what Christ has to say about them. This has nothing to do with the followers such as those who work within the church or the people that go there; however, there does come a time where God expects you to stop following the blind men of this world and follow Him. All adults are responsible for their own salvation because when you stand before God, no church, pope, idols, or your parents will be there as you face God and you cannot blame the Church for misleading you all as the accountability will fall squarely on your shoulders and more so when you lead God's people. I know the Christian Churches have issues as well and I confront them as well because there is just as many false prophets there too. I think that you personally are a very humble and polite man and I worry for you and the people like you that serve in the Catholic church and it breaks my heart of how mislead you are, but I will continue to pray for you. Sorry if I sound harsh, but what kind of child of God would I be if I did not act on what my Father in heaven placed on my heart long ago. I pray the Holy Spirit guides you and Christ's love engulfs you.

In Christ Jesus
Your sister in Christ

This is some serious extrapolation to justify infant baptism. 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

You are assuming that Jesus didn't mean the paralyzed man as part of "their faith." Also, I would argue the paralyzed man obviously had faith otherwise I doubt he would have allowed his friends to do that. This is also some serious mental gymnastics to arrive at your conclusion.

Jesus said that you must be “born again” in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven. So let me point out the word “again” which clearly indicates that there was a “first” which of course was the natural birth of the flesh and through the mother’s water. (read John chapter 3) And according to Scripture, the second birth is accepting Christ as Lord and Savior, which results in us “dying with Him and being raised to New Life”. (see Romans chapter 6) This is why Jesus referred to salvation as being “born again”, which Scripture also says that when we accept Christ we are baptized into and with the Holy Spirit.

The Catholic Church is determined to take the spiritual and make it into the physical. But salvation doesn’t work that way and that is not the true Gospel of Salvation. There is not one example of babies being baptized in Scripture, and the act of water baptism should come AFTER salvation, not before. (read Acts chapter 8) Water baptism is a public act of Faith...that you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior..and that you are a Child of God. It's not magic, and the water does nothing...it's just an act..but an act of extreme importance since Jesus asks for us to do this. But we should only do this when the person being baptized understands what is going on and has accepted Christ. Babies can't do this.

34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

No. Baptism (Hebrew Mikveh/Full submersion) is for ritual cleansing of the body, performed by the individual, not by another. Baptizing a baby is not in Scripture. Performing this act does nothing for them. We all make our own individual choices to accept or refuse Salvation by Grace and can do literally nothing to earn it.
