Ok so like i just got into tanking and i’ve been doing only dungeons as of now, is like doing alliance/normal raids and trials as a tank a bit more difficult?

If you're off tank, do you also stand in front of the boss? Or do you stand off to the side for the main tank to draw agro? Just started playing dark knight

But what would I do in a scenario like in Kugane Ohashi where a boss can move a lot or drops aoe's around himself? As I had a few struggles where I ended up tanking a boss from a wall to the other wall while still facing away from everyone.

Yes.

Good guide for new tanks - I often see them either spaff all their mitigation in one go OR just don't use any at all (or save it for bosses, where it's hardly needed).

Your party members health bars are just additional mitigation. So don't panic if you lose aggro when pulling packs in dungeons and grab aggro on the ones you lost at your earliest convenience. Your party member won't die from a single mob hitting them a few times.
