This is an interesting thing I've been seeing, people migrating from Instagram to Twitter. I think the better platform depends on your intentions behind using each. If you want to build community and interact, Twitter is way better. But if you want a platform to simply display your photos, Instagram is way better. Both could make massive and easy improvements to make the experience better for photographers, but neither probably will. haha. Coming from someone who went all the way down the Twitter rabbit hole and saw how ugly it could get, I'm gonna stick with Instagram.

I prefer the single window format.

Ooflon Musk isn't a savior at the end of the day, every billionaire with good PR has just as much baggage and horrible shit they've done to get them where they are. Regardless of if he's your champion or just another annoying charlatan, this kind of takeover is far closer to Citizen Kane than a lot of people are willing to admit.

Personally it feels like the death of Instagram as a photo-sharing app is a reaction to the highly curated style of posting that dominated for years, beyond just the shift to video.

I do wonder what the state of other apps like VSCO will be in the years to come with their sneakily large rates of growth and removal of likes/follower totals.

I've seen 2 instances of "Ratio'd" (1) Someone with a larger social media presence replies to a tweet, so they get more likes than the original tweet by default. (2) An internet troll tweets something spicy/controversial, then a reply to the troll's tweet is either a diss or oppositional stance and gets more likes than the troll's tweet. TLDR: Ratio is when people show more "support" or likes for the reply than the initial tweet in question. Another ratio'd indicator is if a tweet has more quote retweets than likes. That typically means the internet is going ham on this dude!

There's nothing wrong with Instagram. IT'S YOU. How does ANNOUNCING you're taking a break, defeat the whole purpose of taking a break? Is the three weeks they are totally off not healthy? PURE HATE & JEALOUSY.

As a 34 year old dad to toddlers, I am afraid that one day I will post the same cringe things that my parents do and my kids will one day keep running from us parents to different social media platforms. (I'm sure it's happening to parents my age with older kids already)

This show is good like not seeing a best friend for years and picking back up where you left off - except you see them every Monday. Shout out to Caleb and Niles for that banger early in the show.
