I bought an M1 Pro because I can't go back to 60hz and it is such a good upgrade for $550 on amazon. When I bought my iPad Pro 3rd gen in 2018 it was $1000 at the time

I have a question do you think I should get an ipad air 5th gen with 256 gb or get ipad air 6th gen 11 inch with 128 gb
I’m a med student i feel like I need lots of storage but those 2 prices are very close idk what to do and it’s my first time buying an ipad
Also my budget is in that limit I can’t go higher since I have to get a apple pencil as well

I’m really conflicted. On the one hand, I really love how the pro looks and the quality of the display and speakers. But on the other hand, I feel the price tag doesn’t justify the difference between itself and the iPad Air. And even then, is the Air really that much different from my pre-M Chip 11 inch iPad Pro. This is the problem with the iPad lineup. The hardware has truly made leaps and bounds over the years, but the software makes it so that upgrading from my current iPad won’t provide much of a difference in experience. I may just use my current iPad until it breaks or shuts down.

I love the iPad Mini — it’s just a shame it’s over 1,000 days old and costs more (from Apple) than it did at launch.

Another very informative review. You have such a wonderful method to your reviews. I picked up the M4 11” Pro and was shocked by how light it is compared to the older Pros. I would agree that the Air is perfect for most people who want more of the Pro experience. Keep up the great work!

Great video Tom! Would be curious what you opinion would be for existing iPad owners. I have a 2019 Pro (pre M series chips) and a Mini. I was considering trading them in to consolidate to a M4 11" before their trade in value plummets.

Hi, did you experience overheating issues on the newer ipads?

I bought an iPad Pro 11 inch 3rd gen yesterday for 450 from someone on Offer Up!! It came with the Apple Pencil and the Apple Keyboard. I suggest that everyone should look around and not just buy brand new.

I had a 12.9 inch M1 iPad since 2021 when it came out. I loved the device but I also use a 14 inch MacBook Pro so having an iPad that big was almost redundant. I went all in on a 11 inch iPad Pro with one terabyte of storage a little over a month ago. I used it for a month and returned it on my last day to do so. I just ordered an M2 11” iPad Pro with Wi-Fi and cellular and 256 GB of storage on eBay. It came with the magic keyboard and an Apple Pencil all for $670. It appears to be in great shape. As long as it shows up in decent condition I will be pretty happy with my purchase because I knew I wanted to downsize from the 12.9 inch and the M2 is a little newer. I just could not stomach paying that kind of money for the M4 iPad Pro and why get, a M2 iPad Air when I got a better deal on an M2 iPad Pro?

Great video! I am still using my iPad Pro M1 with 512GB of storage. I had it as my primary machine for a good year and a half. I did get a Mac Mini M2 Pro for my video editing machine for a while. I have just found that as a mobile device, I like the touch screen tablet design with a keyboard that the iPad gives over the MacBook Pro. Yes I could do all of my work on one device. Absolutely. That said, I would be missing out on that touch screen. Yeah, it was expensive but it did give me the best use case I could have wished for.

Here’s what’s gonna happen…I have a mini 4 and been doing my research. Don’t want a 64 gig mini 6 so will save my pennies for a 256 gig which in Space Grey. Those NEVER seem available in the Apple Refurbished site. I will then bite the bullet and buy a new 256gb Space Grey. It will arrive and and I will be overjoyed!
…one day before Apple release the mini 7 with a base storage of 128 gig at £499.00.

Great video, I bought the base beige M2 Air and Apple Pro Pencil when they both were on sale through Amazon which saved me about $70. I agree with your assessment of the current lineup, even the base iPad was tempting because it was down to $300 brand new during that sale and of course, preowned options were pretty solid too.

Should i choose cellular on iPad or without? I want to get either M4 11 iPad Pro or M2 11 iPad Air as an upgrade from my 2018 11 iPad Pro without cellular.

Should I get M4 Pro 14 MacBook Pro or M4 Pro Mac Mini when they both come out? I currently have a gaming pc from 2018 that I want to upgrade it to a Mac. I would use it for video and photo editing and programming probably for most of the time and also watching YT videos and web browsing too. I also gonna use it at home for like 90-100% of the time.

I have an iPad mini 6 and I was looking for a bigger device to compliment my mini when I needed a bigger screen. Decided to go with the M4 13inch and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t like putting iPads on keyboards so I’m basically using it as a tablet with the pencil only so the thin profile of the Pro sold me.

I’m planning on buying the 11 inch version with the 128 gb storage (still can’t decide the color, I’m leaning towards starlight and
I’m hoping 128 gb is enough, I have the same amount of storage on my phone and my phone is already full with all the photos and apps within a year and a half, but I’m guessing a lot of everyday apps won’t be necessary on the iPad but I’m planning to edit videos on it and play games on it, and I might not be clicking as many pictures on my iPad as my phone since my iPad would rarely leave my home, keep in mind though that the same apps on android are a little lesser in size as compared to iOS.

I’m currently debating trading my m1 12.9 for an iPad mini just for the portability and I feel like I’d use it more but I’m still undecided :(
