This dude was and is one of the best to work with. Was on the post-production side of G4 and he was always great person to work with, on the rare occasion I did.

Not hard to understand why people were celebrating it. We went to g4 for games coverage and nostalgia and were told we're sexist pigs who don't understand anything. Push your BS onto your audience, demonize your audience. Don't be surprised when they turn on you. You have to be willfully dishonest to not understand what happened..

Can I blame Jirard for ruining G4? To be honest, and this is from a former Completist subscriber, a big no. Can't blame Jirard or everyone else who was hired to do G4. Although Frosk and Adam are in a different story. The network didn't work it out for the viewers, simple is that. I recalled some moments that were mediocre, for instance, Adam's reviews have a skit where Jirard wearing Mario, does make me want to change the channel but doesn't mean I will hate Jirard because of that.

Everyone needs to stop pointing at the one guy who ruined the network, and realized G4 failed because it's not what it was. They were throwing out new ideas and failed.

Personally speaking, I don't really see how Jirard was to blame here. Feel bad, especially for him trying to keep it alive despite literally everything being set up to fail altogether. Glad he bounced back to doing something good like bringing a light to game preservation.
