Well, he decided to be a dick by taking out ALL his frustrations with media and audiences on her.

Wow I read so many comments degrading Curic and saying how great Denzel is … that’s just bull . Washington decided to be who he really is .. a prickly guy that wields a lot of power and decided to use it . I’ve never thought he was a great person. A great actor , yes. And he just proved me right. I understood her line of questioning and he could have handled it with more class.

Denzel was being led to give his own political opinions and he was not interested in influencing others to change their politics. He, (who pretty much stands alone) realizes the power Hollywood people hold when they get involved with politics. He knows that just because they make a movie they have no more insight than you or I and their opinions should carry no more weight than our own. Denzel is the only honest person in Hollywood. Katie, you should get used to someone shutting down a line of questioning that your guests have the right to not talk about. Just because a question is asked doesn’t mean it should be answered.

A friend and colleague once reminded me that words matter. I had to remove a Facebook post and rewrite my stance on Trump. Actors are human just like the rest of us. It's their profession.

The "warmer and more comfortable" an individual feels with the interviewer, the better positioned the interviewer places themselves to "control" the Q&A process. The interview can cut you off or present a simple question in a twisted manner.

Denzel was spot on! She automatically wanted to lump him with a group of folks that he doesn’t associate with privately. Denzel wasn’t having it.

She put him on the defense as soon as she started her ridiculous questions. It’s on her. It’s her interview. She blew it.

Katie Couric acts like a spoiled white southern belle she is from a wealthy racist slave owning family that shows no remorse or regret for her families past. I witnessed it on a network program years ago when they were profiling her network anchors….(Anne Curry, Al Roker)..I think she needs to come to terms with her past. She is not a bad person but obviously blew this interview. Kudos to Denzil for speaking the truth.

I believe she was shaken. She has a reason to be. She asked questions and didn’t get the answers she was looking for. She tried to make him look bad by insinuating actors aren’t intelligent to speak on anything but acting. Then he did her job better than she did, but the correct way.
She’s shaken cause she looked like an actress dressed up as a journalist/interviewer/reporter or whatever she was suppose to be.
