I love Hilary but realistically she probably does lipsync, this is quite a belty song that requires you to stretch and project your voice but you don't even hear her breaths as she sings, not stretching your vocal range is one thing but not ad-libbing or even taking a deep breath before a big note? And still sounding pitch perfect? Too good to be true.

That's the thing, she always lip syncs.

If you listen on the first few lines of the song you can actually hear that it's live. The backup singers help ALOT that's why it kinda does sound like she's lip syncing even though she's not.

actually...u can hear her breathing....she even out of tune at 2:37 . When i was watching the video i thought she was lipsyncing... but i think she's doesn't....at least not on this video

You're totally right! I love her, i have all of her albums, but recently I've noticed she can't sing at all. Her perfect voice is made at a studio. There is not at least one song where she sings it live the entire song. This is disappointing because all my entire life I believed she really can sing :(

She has a very childish girly type of voice. It's good I just don't think it's exactly her best quality. Keep in mind she also doesn't have recent music right now. So. . .

Went to one of her tapings and had a chance to watch her rehearse. She was incredible live! So i have no doubts that this is live...she's just that good! 

There are artists who sound incredible live and in the studio.

I've heard that song a million times as a kid... Love her but this can't be live, Maybe half backtracking half her real voice but some parts are the SAME from the studio track. No way she could get it PERFECT. Still love her though.

i am not that stupid. not is NOT live at all. she’s like 10% singing and 90% playback. the drums and guitars are the only thing that are being played live there.

Normally the chorus is playback. I find that some artists do that, sing the verse but not the chorus OR they do a rendition of the song that sounds live but not quite studio.

They really pushed her vocals too hard on this album. Metamorphosis sounded more like herself. You can tell they were trying to make her a more legit singer vs actress. It’s not bad just clearly vocally demanding and not healthy sounding.

Pure Lip sync and actually Made so it sounds live! Her Mic is so near her mouth all the Time and In the same way! To belt a high note or just even to go high You have to move the mic near and far from your mouth, and to lip sync You hold the mic close so people wont see 😂 still Love her, her music and This song ❤

All lipsynced and vocals were almost entirely from the album, except there was the quiet part that used a different cut of the vocals, but was still lipped. Another difference from the recording was the part where she says "let go of yester.." where the "-day" was cut off in the pre-recorded track. Nonetheless, I enjoyed her performance!
