I got my rog ally about a week ago, any idea why my wifi randomly disconnects for a couple seconds then reconnects? Its very annoying. I've updated the drivers and tried everything I can think of... Help please!

I think the biggest thing for me (that no other handheld company seems to care about) is having the dual trackpads on the Steam Deck.
So much so that returning to sticks for 1st/3rd person games feels like a massive downgrade.
So if another company finally bothers to implement them, I’ll personally be sticking to the Deck for a long while

I fixed the button sticking issue by taking the cover off and getting a fine grit sand paper and ever so slightly sending it out a little more.

doesnt crush jack shit and you know it, each device is designed to do the same thing only in different ways, i like my beck because i dont have to worry about changing settings to get my games to work, they just do and its not windows and i got the 512 gig version for 400 on sale with an additional discount. cant crush that no matter how good its specs are, if i need that kind of power i will just sit at my desktop, i play on the go so no need for extreme power and multiple battery banks just to play.

But when I turned it off there is no over heating even there is load

I’ve been waiting for a steam deck for a long time. It was sold out for for a long time so I was able to buy it fairly recently. As soon as I bought it, a couple weeks later the Ally was released. Happens every time, I want the best gaming device but I ain’t rich so now they release the best hand held! Thanks

The Ally definitely beats out the deck on performance, but Linus seeming to pretend it does so at basically the same price is disingenuous at best. The deck starts at $400, plus $50 for a storage upgrade to be higher capacity than the ally, and it is still $250 cheaper, not to mention the case it comes with, saving you another $30-50 when you buy one for the ally. Can't just pin the worst case pricing against the best case and pretend that they're the same price. I'm disappointed. It's not the biggest issue ever, but man does it make the entire video feel like it lacks integrity.

Also unrelated, I find it funny that the software installation process on windows was presented as simple and a bonus, when windows 10/11 is ages behind every other OS currently on the market in terms of software management. lol

What do u recommend that or a gaming PC

I have the steam deck and I owned it first. but I love gadgets so I got the Ally. I love it and actually play it more than the deck. I'm not surprised, cause I had an ASUS laptop for many years and loved it.

Since how incapable Sony is being with, regarding a possible ps plus price increase, i may just sell my series S and buy this; and probably buy the next Nintendo console successor... and I pray to Christ that Nintendo learns from this and realizes framerates is secondary compared to their exceptional gameplay visions such as Zelda campaigns.

As much as I love the ability to download and use all game platforms (Ea, GoG and Battle Net etc) The button issues and lack of track pads are my reasons that I’ll be picking the Steam deck. I also hate the white colour.

I wish the Steam Deck was more comfortable in the hand though. The windows operating system on ROG will help with longevity of use playing games.

Maybe I should wait for a future ROG Ally 2 or something that has trackpads?

I’m so confused. I might just stick with a laptop and mouse using a couch desk in my car while travelling etc.

Steam deck trackpads are underrated af. And 40fps on small screen is more than enough, especially for low setting on good machine camp

I hope i could pick one up buy November hopefully they dont go out stock fast i herd this think cane run better then u regular pc at home
