Biden: "There's no escaping me this time, Corn Pop!"
ОтветитьThis could and just might happen if the orange buffoon gets back in the white house!!! This came to me in a dream and i hope it does not come to fruition!!! god help us all!!!!
ОтветитьTight direction from Cronenberg and an excellent cast headed by Walken created one of King's best adaptations to screen. Stillson's megalomania was well-played by Sheen. I also liked Lom as the doctor. Great film.
ОтветитьGet folks there is no more chance for peace just repent and give glory to the Most high God and his earthly body Yeshua. Only his blood can save us now
ОтветитьStephen King was ahead of his time
ОтветитьThis is what happens when Abbie spends too much time at the farm
ОтветитьSonny would’ve hacked his hand off. 😪😪
ОтветитьLLOYD DONT DO IT
Ответитьwhere did Agatha go????????????
ОтветитьIn reality the president doesn’t need a 2nd person to authorize so — good news! No hacking off hands required!
Ответитьthis scene is so chilling after watching the final scene of Oppenheimer, both scenes evoke the terror of nuclear annihilation but Oppenheimer delivers it to the audience by plain showing the material outcome of a nuclear war with the earth in flames, but this movie perfectly colors in exactly how one idiotic lunatic (Harry Truman in Oppenheimer sets this up very well) could end humanity
ОтветитьGreat film
ОтветитьYeah, lets avoid WWIII
ОтветитьPresident Bartlett here have a snickers.
ОтветитьWhat is chilling for me is how plausible this scenario is. Our founding fathers couldn't imagine a situation in which the President could have the power to destroy the world. In 1789, when Washington became the first President, our country was just 13 states barely surviving as a country on the eastern coastline of North America. Washington was the Commander-in-chief of a military that was an under-funded joke on the world stage. What joke of a country today could be a world power in the future? What future dictator could have his finger on the button?
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies of all time. Actually did the book justice.
ОтветитьI just love the small subtle moment of Still son shaking hands and thanking Sonny with the zeal like he just won a major award😂😂
ОтветитьSonny is Randall Flagg
ОтветитьA hacked off hand wouldn’t work. Any scanner designed for the release of Nuclear Weapons, would be sensitive enough to detect lack of pulse and automatically lock out.
ОтветитьEvery performance on this film is simply spectacular

That's the common thread thru most of Steven Kings horror novels that I love. For every mythical monster in one of his stories, there's a real one. From a haunted hotel mixed with an abusive alcoholic, to an abused teenage girl with telekinesis mixed with school bullies and a religious zealot mother. To this, a true psychic mixed with a serial killer and a megalomaniacal politician...who unfortunately...(in this era)....is a bit too real. King truly is a master and this aspect of his work, unique.
ОтветитьOveracting with an agenda. You all might want to monitor how the country and world are looking now :)
ОтветитьHey look! It's Twitler... God help us...
ОтветитьNovember 2023....
ОтветитьSorry. This is how I imagine a Rick Santos presidency would end up.
ОтветитьThe bastards killed Zoey!
ОтветитьDonald Trump's 6 if January Take over The Whitehouse Treason
ОтветитьIf it’s a biometric scanner, cutting his hand off and placing it on the pad probably wouldn’t work because the lack of blood flow to the tissues would render the hand dead and the scanner wouldn’t read the palm.
ОтветитьThey should have ended The West Wing by revisiting this scene. I couldn't watch that show, after seeing Martin Sheen play a psychopathic president in The Dead Zone.
ОтветитьMay God forgive me.
ОтветитьOoo' big scary' red button. Any time i see a big red button, i just want to push' it' 😅
ОтветитьI think this would had been better, if chris' walken & sheen reversed rolls. Walken does better villians. Probly to good. Not much acting involved.
ОтветитьI think he played the dad, in the dead zone tv series, final show? 🤔 - he's his own' grampa 😅
ОтветитьMartin Sheen is a hugely underrated actor. This one scene is testament to his incredible range and talent.
ОтветитьThe red ring of death
Ответитьi dont think the people were asking to get nuked tho
ОтветитьDid anyone notice the rainbow colored lights?
ОтветитьSomewhere in trump’s imagination…..
But a great book, and movie.
Ego driven mad man ….. scary imagine casting Willem Dafoe or Brad Dourif in this role….
ОтветитьWhy is the general so intimidated by the president and agrees to the nuclear holocaust instead of sending him to hell?
And, also, Sonny is a weasel but not a madman like Stilson. Why doesn’t he try to stop him or at least talk him out of this nonsense?
Why do the vice-president and the state secretary obediently wait outside instead of rushing in since it a matter of life and death for humanity and every second counts?
Loved this movie. Sheen is such an excellent portrayer of demonic characters
ОтветитьThe only problem with this scene is that if the missiles were actually flying they would not be in grandmas summer guest house, they would be half a mile underground in a secure bunker
ОтветитьI thought Tom Skerritt's role as the Sheriff was exceptional too...that first part of the film is often overlooked but it held great mystery and suspense in unravelling the killer of the young lady...the various threads of this film are woven together to make a really great drama...
ОтветитьIf I were the general I would bite my fingers offs, the blood will stain my handprint so that he can never do that awful thing.
Ответитьnow put your goddam hand on that scanning screen or i'll hack it off and do it for you. damn bro, lol sheen was beastly in this and christopher walken was excellent
ОтветитьIt must have been an interesting experience for Sheen to impersonate the complete opposite of himself.
ОтветитьMartin Sheen must've had a ball playing Greg Stillson.
