Are your LUTS still available to purchase?
ОтветитьFloats are just a safety measure for Peeps using around water.
It’s nit for making a Boat/drone..It’s A Safety net for special times..(windy near water, in case the battery drains whilst over water…).
I can't download the luts that are free
ОтветитьThe floats would seem to be highly useful to those of us fishermen who use drones to drop bait where we are unable to cast accurately due to distance or obstructions.
ОтветитьThe creative pack download link does not work. Great video thanks
ОтветитьJust bought a mini 2 as my first drone. Haven't flown it yet. Planning to use it for filming surfers. I am thinking combination nd/pl filters would be better than standard nd filters for use over water. Does that make sense or am I missing something?
ОтветитьHe talks about backpacks for the first 4 min 😢
ОтветитьI keep having trouble downloading the free creative pack..it keeps going to the main page
ОтветитьYou sir have just got yourself a new subscriber
ОтветитьHi Mathew,
I would say one really good benefit of using the Drone Floats is if you have a DJI Care Refresh coverage and you have a mishap in water, the replacement fee for a "flyaway" (unrecoverable) incident versus a recoverable damaged drone (where you can send it back to DJI) is (in the USA) $235 vs. $65. I learned this the hard way a few weeks ago when I attempted to take off from a (very slowly) moving sailboat. My operator error and not thinking about taking off from a moving vessel! I hovered at eye-level but didn't think about the boat moving and the guy wire from the main mast stuck my Mini 3 Pro and it plummeted into the water, only to see it drop like a rock! Unrecoverable. So, I had to pay $170 more since I could not recover the drone!
Does the luts work on da vinci resolve? 🤓
ОтветитьLove your video bro, I'm getting a DJI mini , wich one you recommend 2 with a lot of accesories or the 3 pro?
ОтветитьI have some of those floats but I have not used them yet. I might be a good suggestion to wrap them in cling film to stop them soaking up water.
ОтветитьAnother problem with floats is that the weight of the floats will get you above the 250g threshold. In Canada and other countries, you would now need a Basic Flying License to legally fly my DJI MINI 2.
ОтветитьHave you got the link for these please
ОтветитьYou have the best hairline I’ve ever seen
ОтветитьThe floating kit is the only one that has looked useful to me so far
ОтветитьTwo questions. 1) the power bank link doesn’t work. Can you provide the name of it.
And 2) how many times can you charge your battery with the power bank without needed to recharge the bank itself.?
Hi Matthew,
you have great videos, it's great how Premiere Pro shows, how you show how the color changes, you choose from the Drone LUTs folder, and I don't have it there.
Thank you very much for the advice.
Hi, great videos and tutorials, just love your channel! I actually got the floaties when I bought my mini 2 and since I'm going to be mostly filming at the lake I could see my self using it as a fail safe type of thing. As a newbie I could totally see my self flying out of battery and not updating the home point if my boat is moving so eventually the drone would land on water and I could still go and save it :D
ОтветитьI could see a catamaran attachment, in the event of a crash in the pond, when flying through tight spaces over water (canals, creeks, rivers), but it would definitely need a coating that doesn’t allow absorption. Water is heavy, and the sloshing can cause a problem. Too much payload on a 249 gram drone.
I wonder if anything like that is on the market.
I realize the water landing kit is not useful for me but if you remove the noodles would it raise the drone higher than other aftermarket landing gear?
ОтветитьThe water floats do work, but any kind of wind blows you around with these attached
Ответитьanker power banks are better
ОтветитьThose floats are good if your drone disconnects suddenly over water could be a lifesaver.
ОтветитьWouldn't the blue colour backpack be better for the drone to detect when tracking you?
ОтветитьOddly enough, I also carry 2 drones and relevant accessories in a Lowepro Tahoe BP 150! It is a fantastic backpack, however when I need to carry drones, camera, GoPro, and all the accessories that are needed with that kind of load out, I switch to the Lowepro Flipside 300! I actually prefer the back access to the Flipside, (once I got used to it) but for light days, the Tahoe does great!
ОтветитьHi Matthew will premier work on apple many thanks john
ОтветитьDo you know if there are viewing googles that work with the mini 3 pro?
Ответить😭 i still have the mavic pro 💀💀
ОтветитьI have floats and always use them over water, but not for landing on water. If your drone comes down, for whatever reason, you can pick it up floating on the water and you have something to return to dji under dji Care for exchange, which is far cheaper than for a lost or flyaway drone.
This happened to me when I got too close to the rigging of my sailing boat, it hit a shroud wire, which tipped the drone over, which stopped the motors. The mini 2 dropped into the water upside down, lifeless and resembling a dead parrot! I simply picked it, returned it to dji Care and had a new drone within 4 days costing £40 as against over £200 for something that couldn't be recovered from the bottom of the sea after it had sunk. I confess that I have also learnt my lesson about flying into a confined spot with a whisky in one hand!
I’m just starting out and the idea of flying over water makes me nervous incase the drone has a fault and the drone falls into the water and is lost. Thats the only possible reason I can think anyone would want floats
Ответитьi didnt heard here what we dont need??
ОтветитьHi, Mattheww, are there LUTS available for your Northern Ireland dialect too? Just kidding, I did subscribe to your channel anyway ;-) Did not know about that dialect, giggle…
ОтветитьMotion blur is a good thing??! I hate motion blur! I want videos to look as real a possible. Motion is not blurry in real life unless it's very fast motion or there's somthing wrong with your eyes.
ОтветитьI live on the shore of a small lake. I fly in a small park on the shore of the same lake next door to my house. I'm a newbie flyer with a mini 2. I was considering buying a set just for the feeling I would get knowing that there is. Increased chance of recovering my drone if I should do something stupid and drop it in the lake.
Ответитьalso the powerbank he showed got a capacity of 20k mAh, looked up powerbanks on amazon and it showed cheaper powerbanks with more capacity. are those cheaper ones just bad or why is his 4x more expensive?
Ответитьthe LUTs fitting for MAvic Air 2 as well?
Also ND filters seem more or less expensive, dont know which to use what for? can anyone help out? do i need the full package for 130$?
may I ask what model microphone you use for outside recording with your camera?
ОтветитьGreat Video!
Ответитьthanks brennan
ОтветитьMuch safer landing though, water or not
ОтветитьI really like drones but I’m only 10 so I can’t get expensive ones but I can fly freestyle FPV drones so I’m really really good at flying drones but can’t get good expensive ones
ОтветитьI think water float are not made to land or take off from water. Simply an emergency accessory in case of emergency
ОтветитьWhy, with the ND filters, does it come with so many in the case? Are they all different? What do they do?
Ответитьone fefty ?
ОтветитьGreat vid, I’m thinking about the ND filters but so many options when looking at them. I’m planning on using my drone in Australia so be pretty sunny, wondering what filters would you recommend for a sunny environment thanks.
