Just make sure you are fitting the shoe to your model while they are in the "Rest" pose, or else when you transfer weights the shoes are not going to attach properly.
Couldn't I just parent the shoes to the character to avoid the problem?
There is rigify in blender add on why still want to rig from scratch(referring to realistic character model)?

ОтветитьHey Dikko! Nothing in the isolated head movement did it's job, until I deleted every constraints and followed the quick summary. Maybe your videos could be 5 minutes long in the future ;) Great job though.

I set up my control rig and drivers and all that fun stuff, except now because there are drivers I can’t keyframe the values of the shapekeys or add in animation from the iPhone face recording fbx

ОтветитьI have 12 Phonemes shape keys.. I don't know how to go with it. I can't attach all those 11 on 1 CTRL bone.
Should I create 3 CTRL bones and attach 4 phonemes on each of the 3 CTRL BONES? Any help/ideas would be great. Thank you!

Any ETA on the last video to tie everything together? I used to know how to weight paint stuff before the whole system got changed to something else.
Hello Dikko!, first thing first, Amazing tutorials! the riggin series is amazing and I've learn a lot about controllers in blender!, I used to do it all using the deformation bones!
But I digress, I also want to tell you that there is a missing video on the Rigging playlist the 05 about the arms, it was a little confusing when all the sudden you started talking about the fixes and the arm rigging and I thought I accidentally skipped a video during the playlist, just letting you know and to say thanks for all the amazing videos you have done so far!

I have a tip for the shapekey drivers: Instead of estimating how much you need to multiply Var by, you can instead divide Var by the amount you want the bone to move. So if I want the control bone to move 0.013m, my driver expression would be Var/0.013

ОтветитьHey there dikko I m making my first character but I sealed the mouth but I want my character to express every kind of expressions , I filled the lips because it was looking better that way so what are your opinions should I make lips for my character or not coz if there are no lips it can't smile and stuff and will it affect the facial rigging process.
