Do you know if is available any software update to increase the max torque for this motor model?
Thanks !

Yamaha motors suck cuz they don't protect the bearings from dirt n water coming in. I was driving it for 3 months and it was done for. Next thing with the yamaha motors they don't shift to neutral so it's literally impossible to reach and hold speeds over 25km/h and once the battery is empty the bike is ridiculously hard to move - any small hill and you can walk

have you ever thought about making a frame kit and a wire convertion kit that will allow swapping of motor to a different brand to fit the bike? especially for specialized bike customers who wants to change their motor to yamaha or shimano.

My chainring has a little movement independent of the crank. The only noise is a creak from that area when pedalling although hard to pin down where. Can’t be the motor bearing surely or the crank itself would have play?

So that why Yamaha motors is a little bit noisy that Brose motors. Brose has belt and here we have direct connection between gears. Nice video though.

Amazing channel. Could you help me to identify my Yamaha motor by label sticker X2911 058747. The motor sometimes makes an unpleasant sound when it is pushed hard on the pedal. I disassembled the motor. Gear and bearings in perfect condition. The gear is greased with a dark grey grease. Please tell me what kind of grease use to lubricate the gear. Thanks for answering

I was about to buy a used Giant Roam (syncdrive Core) for 1000 dollars less than a new . I realized that there was some play in the BB and for an almost new bike I suspected that it would be a major repair with crankcase opening. Question : Bafang engines like the new Ultra Max drive are more reliable ? Maybe too new , then the series BBSHD are a good reliable choice ? Thks

Excellent Video, I have a 2018 Haibike with a Yamaha PW motor. The motor started making one click noise on the down stroke of the pedals, Push the L/H pedal down and makes 1 click, Push the R/H pedal down same thing on this side. Tightened engine bolts, engine protector, chain ring, nothing help. The pedals thru the crank have no play up or down or sideways, tells me the bearing inside are good. Any ideas besides opening up the engine? Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Great! I would say that it is not as easy as it might look. I have spent full 2 days doing it, but finally succeeded. I would say to anyone attempting to do it: do not even think without a bearing puller (both outer and inner), Yamaha 36mm tool, and hydraulic press. What they do not mention here is to be very thorough in cleaning and greasing afterward. Anyway, amazing video. If anyone from Serbia needs some advice on this, feel free to write :)

Great video, very informative! I have a 2018 Giant Road E+1 Pro with over 14,000 miles covered and I have noticed some roughness when I spin the cranks with the chain removed! There is a little play in the cranks but not excessive! The motor isn't noisy but I'm guessing its probably time for an overhaul, most of my riding is in dry weather so how often would this require a service mileage wise? Do you have an overhaul kit in stock for the Syncdrive pro?

Hi! My 2019 PW-X motor seems to be using more battery than in the past. Changed my chainrings, cassette, chain.. but I see no improvement. Is it possible that it is a bearing problem? I don't hear any strange noise.
