I remember when I was at my heaviest and went to a planet fitness wearing yoga pants for the first time because I was never confident enough to wear them. Two built high-school boys walked by me laughing and saying how I shouldn't be wearing yoga pants because my legs rubbed together, then started making dry heaving sounds. I wanted to die in that moment I was so embarrassed.

I like the fact that they spoke about body shaming not only with obessity. I lost weight since about a year ago by starting going to the gym and eating healthier (of course I still eat not very healthy food once a while). I feel healthier than ever but people havent stop commenting about my weight. I dont know why they feel with the right of doing it. They have made so many bad comments. Great that othe people shutted those girls.

The worst  ... is very full bodied women wearing extremely tight and skanty clothes showing off as much bulging flesh as possible.
No, Others shouldn't have to look at these displays of distastefulness as its certainly not necessary to reveal just about every nook,  cranny,  fold and camel toe that a body consists of.
If,  It were possible I suggest that management draw up a dress code and if not respected then admission to the gym is refused.

i don't blame the woman who thought this wasn't real - the bullies are over the top mean. I don't say this doesn't happen, but if i witnessed something like this, I would also refuse to believe it, at least for a few minutes.

Props also the fact none of the strangers who stuck up for the women resorted to the same low level bullying the actor bullies were doing, no body shaming or nasty on appearances. Practicing what they were preaching!

You're fat why don't you go to the gym!! You're fat how you dare to work out!!... Anyway, nowadays anyone with common sense doesn't behave like this and when they do Joey Swoll is ready for them and will make them look as stupid as they are for the world to see. You should respect fat people working out, it takes like 4x the amount of energy and dealing with the look etc, carrying around a already heavy weight which often comes with aches and pains.

i have dealth with this on more than one occasion. it is always two younger girls who arent exactly a size 2 either mind you. For me its not even the fact of being called fat. Anyone who is overweight already knows without anyone having to say a damn word. So you point it out especially at a gym you got one hell of a ugly soul that no amount of money can fix or make up can hide. furthermore if you really dont like the way that person looks its simple physics. The head will always follow the direction the neck goes in so in essence the neck controls the head. when you feel the need to show how ugly you truly are by making fun of people especially at a gym next time simply use your neck to turn your head and look at something else.

If you go to the gym period you don't have a right to criticize anyone

I was accepted into a top tier bodybuilding gym just to learn how to lift and make my body healthier as I recovered from anorexia
I was gently taught and encouraged by jacked bodybuilding athletes as a skinny girl who knew nothing about the gym- to those scared of the gym I promise there are a lot of amazing people there

This behaviour is so unrealistic. Quite frankly, people who truly think that way about others, are generally cowards. So don't ever be afraid to go to the gym.

Whatever size you are, is absolutely irrelevant to going into a gym. People are generally supportive or mind their own business. If you ever hear that kind of degenerate language or behaviour, they have issues wayyyy above your pay grade, don't let them live rent free in your mind. Stay healthy 💪.
