I don't see ads. Viva the Adblock. This was a recent move of desperation. a last gasp before giving up on You tube entirely. if they ever disable my adblock I will (give up) .

These ads that show up while looking for a video are even more annoying

i was watching a hour long video and got 4ads in the first 6min of the video.

The ads are beyond a joke when they break the video your watching or show so many that even hitting skip the time taken to watch the video doubles which has to be bad for creators. I was watching something interesting the other day and while someone was explaining something up pops the ads and this happened more than once making me just say forget it and close the video. What was once a great place to find content is just hostile and all about selling something.

I swear the ads make content on this platform unenjoyable.

I've been using adblockers since YT started using unskippable ads.
I don't watch ads on TV either. Whenever there is an ad break I switch to BBC which is ad-free and 2 or 3 minutes later I switch back.
No, I don't think YT feels different but I haven't seen an ad on YT in 10 years thanks to Ghostery and uBlock Origin which also block scammy cookies and such like.

Had to go thru two unskippable ads to watch this plus another two during the vid (that’s actually quite good nowadays). There has definitely been a marked increase in ads over the past year, and now they seem to come in pairs - some skippable after 5s but many are not. I can be served up to a total of 2 mins of unskippable ads during a 10 min vid. It’s definitely cut the time I spend on YT so every cloud...

I currently use UBlock and I am nearly fine.
Only the typical Ad break at the beginning of a video, and then I can watch even a 2-hour video without any ad. This is ok.

Only 2 things are really annoying...
1st: Where is the picture, I only hear sound xD
2nd: Why the hell are the ads so much louder than all the videos, this is annoying and gave me a headache already.

I'm not so sure what your saying is true because one of the creators i follow says he gets 60% of the revenue from all ads. why would he say that knowing it would make himself look bad unless it's because it's true!
