Suuuuper vid and grat greatinfo! If I use it and crop it to a normal POV, like as a normal action-acm, what resolution do I get? You said, on the smaller insta360, i’t like 1080. Also: I read, you cant’t use it for single lens mode (SLM). Now, what’s the difference between SLM and just framing the 360-shot? Resolution. And is this a hardware or software thing, like – could they upgrade this one to be able to shoot 'true' SLM? Thanks!

If this was 8k, it would be worth the price, not sure it's worth it over an X3 though. IMO of course

When you did the parachute, were you using the 3m stick❓ or just the normal 1.2m stick?

Why do we need 6k 8k , when most, if not all of you viewer's are using phones and 4k TVs to watch your content?

Ok help me out. This is gonna be complicated. I have two GoPro Hero 9's. Bought them new. I bought them because they can shoot 4k/60 medium stabilized. I attach them to my front and rear bumpers and record cars in front of me and behind me. AND with "medium" my camera is "closer" to the car I'm recording. The problem is, the footage isn't that great imo. My iPhone 12 Pro Max looks so much better. So... what if I bough this RS 1 Inch.... put my convertible top down... and attached the RS1 right above the windshield... would the RS1 simultaneously record the cars in front of me and behind me? That sounds cool! Is there a "medium" setting? So the cars will look closer? What are your thoughts. No worries if you ignore me, my setup is complicated haha!!

Biggest Con: Slow Motion mode (over 50fps) is not available

Hi i’ve been using a One X and recently upgraded to One Inch 360. For both cameras when I edit / reframe and export from my mobile app, the quality looks good. But the max resolution is HD

When I use the desktop studio, the export quality seems very bad, even with 75mbps or 100mbps bit rate. I’m not sure if i cropped too much during the reframing, i used the default options / views and didnt zoom in further

Also for desktop studio there doesnt seem to be preset options for HD or 4K etc. i have to manually enter the resolution for myself.

Would you know what’s the best options for the 2 issues I have? Thanks alot!

Can it film standard video besides 360 video?

This is better than GoPro?

I would love to see 4 or 6 lens 360 cameras offered with the appropriate increase in resolution, tools, and at an affordable price. If you can combine cheap 4k sensors and optics, and be able to handle the throughput, this should be feasible.
( On Alibaba those would cost between $30 and $60, so 6 lenses would be ~ $240 [less with volume] ). I just don't know why the PRO versions for the 360 cameras have to be that expensive.
I would think that with some ellbowgrease and determination one would be able to build this for around $1k and still make a profit

Playing with 360 3D and spatial sound combined with E.g. the meta quest is just one of the most immersive experience you can have.

One of your issues with the 360 cameras has been lens protection. This would seem to be even more important with this camera. So can the lens be protected?

This demo was the best. David!!!That 's what we love ..how you test your toys. Not waterproof, but splash resistant .and bit heavier..and $$...can't do it... I love water- rain , snow shots .. I am certain the next one is in the making to meet all that.. (( saving up $$$))

I don't know why you or no one else ever mention the biggest disadvantage of these amateur-grade 360 cameras: A flat, panoramic video output is limited to 1920x1080 (ie, HD). For me, it's the big drawback that screams at me. Please don't talk to me about how wonderful the 4K upscaling will be, the take-home message is that your footage is not future proof. Otherwise, I'd gotten one a long time ago.

What’s the battery life? I’m in aviation and if I mounted this outside. It might take you to 16-20 minutes to actually take off and would like to know how much actual footage I’d get after takeoff? Can it work with an external battery pack?

Nice review again. 👍 if you don’t mind, I have a question about charging battery. How many way of charging? Can you charge only battery by itself using a cable or do you have to charge through RS core which mean you must connect RS core and battery first then connect cable to RS core to charge? Because I don’t like the RS core heated unnecessarily while charging.

Great camera but too expensive, even higher price here in the UK. Love my X2 for moto vlogging and travel, I’ll wait for the X3 with waterproofing…good though for RS owners..
