📌 BIG REQUEST: Please like this video for the algorithm, and possibly comment too. It's more of a "slow burner" that is useful long term but not very exciting to get lots of clicks right away, so I don't want the algorithm to kill it quickly 😔

Is it possible to configure it as wifi extender if it doesn't have repeater mode.

I guess the one thing that is critical to know is how to get to that page you mention first. The lynksys settings page. I am not using a Lynksys router I am using a tp-link but I would imagine it would be similar. If I knew that much I would not need your video.

Something to note, devices connected to Google Home will act goofy. Your devices will only show as connected to the base router, however if your phone moves and connects to the access point router, Google home will show none of your devices as being connected because the devices are connected to the base router and you no longer are despite still having a wifi connection to the same SSID

Crap video if your router doesnt have a “wireless repeater” option.

Can you use the second router’s (new access point) Ethernet connections? Or is it just wireless?

What if, setup as wireless extender. Can I still set the VPN on the extender?

All router settings are accessed by the PC . Does that mean if the router is located in the middle of the house the PC will need to be there too?

Not a repeater, just a new wifi...

I washed your video and I washed another person's video on how to do this the other person says that he's going to automatically find the router as a Wi-Fi extender and yours says you have to switch manually on your phone I ran an ethernet cable into my detached garage from my original modem and I have an old modem I simply want to be a Wi-Fi extender it seems I should not have to manually change my phone when I want to go in the garage and listen to music but yours now says I have to do that very confusing I don't know why there's two different ways to do the same thing the explanations are quick and more focused on people who know what they're doing that's not me

I'm sure this is all very useful if you already know all about it. But it's not step by step. It explains nothing. It's tecchie talking to himself. Why bother?

For me I use AP mode with same SSID and password devices connect seamlessly and it helps to eliminate filling up the 2.4 network if you use a lot of 2.4 devices such as plugs and lights
