Can i do this on my current save so i can use the blueblood sword? I dont want to have to wait for someone to be nice enough to drop it lol

This method works, and the way to make it work 100%, you need to make your Souls Required a POSITIVE number while in the Nexus. You can do that by reaching about 55-70k Luck and leaving and re-entering the Leveling Menu with the Maiden in Black. One Gold Coin should be enough to do this.

Once it’s positive and you have around 55-70k Luck, SAVE AND EXIT, once you return back into your game, your Souls Required will remain whatever the positive number you had even if you travel through the Archstones. Just make sure it’s a LARGE positive amount, like in the billion amount because that’s what you will be getting back when you go pick up your Bloodstain after you get Soul Sucked by Allant. It doesn’t matter if Soul Suck kills you right away, you just need to die after he Soul Sucks you.

And yes this glitch still works and only works with a disc version only, because the glitch is only possible on v1.00

Just saying my game bugged and the Soul needed were -648 when u teleport to the kings tower just saying if u have this problem it will work don’t worry about that

I know I am a little late, since I got the game recently. But I want to clarify that the glitch still works. Thanks for the guide. Also, I had to farm the Gold Coins a few times since it got tricky playing with soul numbers between positive and negative values.

I mean ... of course the glitch "still works" if you keep the game at v1.0
that's the same as saying "hey if you happen to have a copy of Bloodborne from day 1 you can still do all of this crazy glitches in the year 2085"

When I check if I don’t have the -648 in the souls required I have like 1004047363940 but then when I go into the world 1-4 or 1-5 after few min it goes back to -648 is that normal or does it have to stay on 1004047363940

Old video but if youre like me and just saw this, heres a tip. If you want to continue to be OP DO NOT update your game. Like others in the comments, it reverts your save progress back. Plus even with your luck being 99, you go from doing 9k damage to doing only 400ish with attacking :/ idk why but it completly ruins the blueblood sword

I know this is old, but anyone else not getting the souls dropping when you die? Tried this 6 times already with nothing to pick up when I get there.

Beat the game like 6 times and finally made a platinum playthrough only to realize I'd need like 3 NG cycles (for character tendency stuff). Sadly I realized this after the patch BUT I have the disk version so ima get my platinum offline by steamrolling everything with this. Thank you for sharing this info!

evertime i reopen the menu after making sure the soulrequirment is postitive, it reverts to -648

The only thing i dont understand is why we need to die with fake king allant and climb back to retrieve the souls ? Why cant we just do the glitch, defeat everything we want and revert our old save when we have had our fun ?

So wait do you need to upload a file to the cloud? Especially if you are just gonna grind and do not have ps+. Getting a gold coin honestly aint too hard, but reverting game versions and doing the glitch would still be possible right?

A shame this doesn't work anymore, the game is way too boring to play normally

I have -648 stuck soul curency how do i fix

So i have a problem... I did what you said and made sure it was positive in the Nexus but then i warped to the area for allant and i looked at it again to make sure and my soul level was negatif. I tried it multiple times over but everytime it goes back to being negative. How do i fix this?
