Any parent that kicks out their kid, they shouldn’t have kids in the first place.
ОтветитьPersonally, I would completely ditch my parents if they did that to me. Obviously parents like that don’t care about you. And frankly you can meet some amazing people in your life that would be willing to help you. Hell, I’ve heard of people that are willing to let you stay with them if you’re willing to do work around the house.
ОтветитьHe has a duty to contribute even though the offer was a free offer. Is he respectful, honoring, etc? My pride and arrogance destroyed many relationships.
ОтветитьThere is no such thing as moving out or getting kicked out in many cultures. The whole family stays together and support their parents in old age. Living alone or away from your parents and siblings goes against human nature and a relatively modern way of life. That is why depression and suicide rates are higher in the Western countries
ОтветитьMOVE OUT
ОтветитьMan this kid likes to talk
ОтветитьA $17,000 camper is very minimalist. The only thing more minimalist is being homeless. He'll actually own the camper and can then rent it out if he decides he can afford an apartment or whatever. Obviously, living with any roommate is impractical and unrealistic. Paying rent for an apartment or for anything, really, is impractical. And he's not broke. He has a solid down payment saved. This dude is trying to ruin this kid's life right from the start.
ОтветитьKeep goin
ОтветитьUnless your kid is a complete douchebag please don’t kick them out with setting them up for success👍
ОтветитьIf I was him I would join the military
ОтветитьDave the king of obvious advice. You have no money, go flatting.
ОтветитьWishing this young man all the best, keep going forward and follow Dave advice it’s gold. When your ready reach out to your parents and work at the relationship down the line good luck
ОтветитьMy son stayed at home until he was 21. No problem because I stayed at home until I was 25.
ОтветитьHe seems like a good hardworking Young man. A young adult without parents, then your life is on hard mode. It will wake you up but simple problems become obstacles without parents. Even Ramsey said, "Shelter and food." Everything else he don't give a crap. This call hurt.
ОтветитьSorry, but no. Unless your kid is a pos, kicking your kid out of the home is guarenteeing that they will struggle and likely spiral out.
Think about today's fucking economy and just how expensive it is to even own an apartment. Hell, you have yo basically share a small apartment with friends while saving up what tiny bits while working some min wage job unless you have actual skills, which, youd need a home to develop properly.
Maybe its cause Im asian, but this shits so disgusting. Like I said, some situations, this doesnt apply, just like all things in life, it aint usually black and white but varying levels of gray.
This kinda shit, while your kid is willing to learn or work, is just your parents wanting to stop being actual parents.
Bruh, mfers acting like its 1940s where you can live off min wage and buy a fucking home off it lmao
Hey idk if this will ever get out! But hey man if you need a spot to ever park your camper at or anything then I’m here for ya.
ОтветитьWell, I would just have my trailer than rent
ОтветитьThis video definitely doesnt feel like it holds up today, that camper payment would have been a WAY better idea than the infinite renting loop that is todays reality
ОтветитьDon't forget to never contact you parents again when they're old 👍
ОтветитьPraise the Lord for the one who took him in to give him a safe place to get his feet under him. The kid will be fine, but he needed that safe place to regroup.
ОтветитьWithin the first minute, I loved this kid. Lucas, keep up what you're doing. Keep both jobs until the landscaping picks up. There are 168 hours in a week. Use as many as possible, being productive (without burning out). If you have to sleep in your truck, so be it. Give your temporary landlord/friend a few bucks in good faith rent. Eventually, acquire a cheap place to live, such as single room in a house, a studio apartment, shack up with someone looking for a roommate, or even rent a garage and throw a mattress on the floor. Keep the mowers and gas outside (to avoid inhaling fumes). Join planet fitness for $10 a month, to use their shower. You may need a bank account or credit card for that. Do fall clean ups and leaf collection to extend your landscaping season. Line up a winter job to continue making money in the "off season". (Uber eats, pizza delivery, bus boy in a restaurant). Most importantly... DON'T GIVE UP!!! Good luck out there. You will succeed.

ОтветитьI’m dealing with the same kindve situation, my dad & I built a solid foundation within the years and he passed away in 2019. I was left with nothing but alot of debt and no home or place to actually call home. My sisters stole & sold all of our belongings and let our home go into foreclosure. She was the overseer but did nothing correctly which left me in a bad place mentally and physically. Me and my mom never really had a relationship so now fast forward I’m 26 and having to still struggle to make ends meet and pick myself back up off the ground with no help from anyone friends or family 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I pray that God can help me see a way out of such a terrible time
ОтветитьGet a job!
Ответитьdid he say he has 37-40k or 3700-4k?
Ответить(Western Mentality)
ОтветитьThis guy must be 21 now, I wonder how he's doing
ОтветитьWhenever I watch this show it just lights a fire under my ass and makes me stop wallowing in my own pity due to the fact that it's making me realize although my situation is kind of crappy, it's still a lot better than what others have. I hope that guy is doing better now. I was 19 yrs old two years ago and I can't imagine going through that at that age. Props to him for doing what it takes. I'm sure he will be very successful someday.
ОтветитьIt takes about 20 seconds after listening to Lucas to realize this man is going to become big; not just financially.
ОтветитьI think its tragic that this kid cant turn to his parents for advise and turn to this ignorant fool.
ОтветитьHe's fucked. All his money is going to rent now. He just lost 50% of his potential income. He just increased the age of his retirment by 50%. Sorry brother
ОтветитьI got kicked out this year at 19 and am beyond struggling, can’t afford housing even with roommates. I’m working a full time job and going to school full time
Ответить🎉Join the Military 👌
You'll get work experience and a safe paycheck. 🙏
Same thing happened to me at the same age in 1987, and it turned out extremely positive. Lived very cheap for 8 years, bought a house, and I have complete financial freedom today. This young man sounds very solid for his age.
ОтветитьWow, that's how parent's end up in retirement homes.
ОтветитьIt's probably because his parents are narcissists and wanted to control him. It happened to me.
ОтветитьForget the fact that the campers value will drop like a rock, all campers, even the $100,000+ ones are built like shit and not meant to be lived in long term
If anything, I'd recommend he get a nice Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna to live in for $5k or less. If that can work with his business. Still tows a decent 3,500 lbs if he needs to tow, but he won't have to pay rent, and can pocket a ton of money that way. Renting imo is awful, and neighbors tend to be shitty people. Just my own experiences.
I hope everything worked out for him. I’m not going to judge his parents for kicking him out while not knowing the reason. I have a cousin who was kicked out about this age and she deserved to be kicked out. She was given warning that she would be if she continued with the behavior and she didn’t think fat meat is greasy.
ОтветитьMy 2 kids lived at home while going to college. When they finished I asked for 200 a month for room and board. They both chose to leave. I think there is more to the story with his parents.
ОтветитьScary place this world is, I agree, if you want the camper life, you don't need 17,000 loan. Get a used one that's cheaper because they depreciate over time. But it will be an experience, you will learn how to fix things, you will learn how to manage your life better. And it gets you thinking one day in the future, "man i wish i did this back in the day..." hope the champ is doing well.
ОтветитьI’ve seen similar stories all over social media that when kids hit 18 and graduated that their parents goes directly to kick them out that’s insane I have my 18 year old and told him he always has his room no matter how old they get. Mind it yes I’m on public housing and now that he works that affects our income but that’s ok he’s more worry about me but I told him not to kids are more important then some government assistance that’s not there forever
ОтветитьI couldn't do that to my children, But, in all fairness, we are only hearing his side of the story. He does sound very mature and responsible. Hmmmmm.... it really makes you wonder.
ОтветитьI have a 19 year old, i worry about him when he doesn't make curfew, i would never kick my children out. I want the best for them, i provides love and security for them as a parent!
ОтветитьAnyone else noticed he's staying with a woman but they keep saying it's a man?
ОтветитьGet a CDL and live over the toad for a few years.
ОтветитьRent a room
ОтветитьThat is so weird that he mutes the caller off at the end and then pretends he is still on the call. Rude.
ОтветитьJoin the Navy, take online class while you’re in
ОтветитьI didn't think I would hear Dave Ramsey making reference to Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
