I was fortunate enough to go to the Muhammad Ali Jinnah Mausoleum when I was in Pakistan on business some years ago. This was pre-digital camera, and I only have prints of my time there. I will never forget it.

The unfortunate part was that I was there during Ramadan, and at the time it was quite dangerous for European travellers (my company warned me not to go out alone). Although my hotel and hosts made sure I was fed well (my last night was at the Karachi Boat Club), I couldn't sample the street food - which I really wanted to do.

On my last night, they presented me with a heavy sack-wrapped suitcase type package and said not to open it until I got home. When I got back, it turned out to be a large Persian carpet.

Wonderful country, and wonderful people.

One observation.... Mark is too much into spicy food especially meat. He doesn't like sweets.

That Milk Pepsi, we call it Dhoodh Thums-up (Thums up is a bigger brand than Coke or Pepsi in India, the name retained by Cocacola India co. due to its popularity) in Kolkata, India.

unfortunately the rag marinade dousing device is unhygienic because it's previously touched raw seafood or meat. this will lead to thrown time for all and sundry! Mark please please please pay attention to raw food contamination to cooked food before you eat it. tjis not to be taken lightly. it will inevitably cause disruption between you and your wife.
