These dogs were taped from Point May to St. Lawrence on The Burin Peninsula, but this issue exists all over the province, Canada and the world unfortunately. If you live in NL, please, please sign the petition for the provincial government to change the laws so that people cannot chain and cage their dogs like this indefinitely. Imagine spending all day every day with no human or animal contact, nothing to do and no exercise other than one or two weeks during hunting season.

While we were shooting this we saw one guy come out to feed his dog, he didn't even touch the dog, not even a pat on the head. What you see here are these dog's whole lives. One older friend of mine tried to explain this practice by telling me that this is the way dogs have lived here for hundreds of years. Well we have come a long way in hundreds of years. It used to be legal to kill your wife in Rome. Are we as a society not constantly evolving? This situation MUST change. We can't just keep driving by and pretend it doesn't bother us. Please, please sign the petition:
