Far Cry Primal made me question life

Far cry 2 stillllll stands up to this day

Farcry primal is a masterpiece! thanks to farcry primal, I decided to never again, listen to the so called "professional specialized critics". They don´t know nothing.

This is not only my favourite Far Cry, but my favourite game. The setting is big part of it, as well as the atmosphere and attention to detail and world building (tribes, languages etc), but also the gameplay, mechanics, and story. I really don't see why many people are like "yeah the game is good, obviously the story isn't though". ?? The story is very good and has interesting topics with depth.

Ngl when i was a kid i thought this was the first farcry game when i played and i literally played farcry 2 as my first Farcry game

ill never forget this simple yet beautiful game sometimes ill go back and play it again just for the vibes.

I love the Survivor game mode because you actually have to track down and re-tame any creatures you have lost beside the 3 apex beasts.

So fun fact: The Udam are Neanderthals, The Wenja are Cro-Magnons, and the Izilia are Homo Sapiens (us).

You can also tell with the technology. The Udam are the most primitive with bone armor and tools and fur clothing they gain from only hunting. The Wenja use those, but also weave their own clothes and build advanced shelters. The Izilia are the most advanced, with actual dried clay/branch armor, master of fire, and advanced agricultural practices. There’s a reason why as you upgrade your gear it starts to resemble the Izilia weapons more and more.

Still dont understand why this game gets hate from the far cry fans, it's the classic far cry with a twist in the setting

Having the devs crate basically three new languages: wenja, udam and izila is no easy task and the way each character that you save is unique and memorable, atleast to me memorable enough.

Theres amazing features added, like rideable mounts, flamable weapons and a weapon upgrading system which is similar to the upgrading system to the ammo packs in the previous far cry.

Mybe people hate it due to the mundane and repetitive gameplay but i personally think no one would want a £10 game that ends in 5 hours of story. Also you dont need to complete everything if you find it too longnto complete, the exam same argument i have for people how hates far cry 4 for being too long.

The story might be boring but that's made up by all beautiful visuals and how different materials are placed in specific areas rather than randomly scattered all around the map. And remember, this game is more than 5 years old and i think it has more amazing graphics than some current games

Too bad, Far Cry primal 2 is not going to happen. Too bad, other developers didn't make similar games or tried to recreate it with Unreal Engine 5 or anything like that.

Neanderthals were more numerous and powerful, but they had less experience with ranged combat than Homo Sapiens. We didn't have to eat as much as they had to.

And we developed religious affiliations. They, reportedly, did not.

Most annoying and boring playground I've ever seen was expecting a review (as that's what I searched and this came up)

I just bought this game Today as I missed it so much when I first played it back in 2017...well to be honest The feeling of excitement that I had when I frist played it is twice as much now because it's mixed with Nostalgia, and plus I got my Family into it too, Awesome game.

Underrated game and dare I say one of the best far cry games. It almost doesn’t even feel like far cry though with how limited the combat is. It’s almost entirely dependent on melee combat, which makes a lot of sense given the time period. It’s a great just turn your brain off and play it game.

Probably my favourite FC.

I've only played far cry 2 (and loved it) and currently primal is on a deal so I've been considering purchasing it. I think this video has solidified my decision.

I do need to live simpler life, to be the one with nature - I think pentium 3 and windows 95 is what I need

As stupid as it is, this is genuinely my favorite Far Cry

Far Cry Primal was such a criminally underrated game. It didn't have the best melee fighting system but I usually stick to takedowns anyway, especially in this game with such limited weaponry. The permadeath and survival mods were such good and fun editions to the game that were never done before in a Far cry game and sadly never done again. All it would take is one predator you didn't notice until too late to end your life. It brought on a constant tension and atmosphere that none of the Far Cry games even came close to pulling off. It's sad that this game got swept under the radar so badly.

Haven't played this since it released. Grabbed it on xbox for $10 lastnight, Id say I can't wait to jump back in but I still have re4 and fallen order to finish, then jedi survivor friday 😂

I still have this game for the PS4. I fucking love/loved this world, having animal companions and such. It’s definitely a casual survival game, but still a Far Cry game at heart

FC4 was my first introduction into FCU and primal was actually amazing coming from 4

It's your own personal playground.
I think having entirely archaic weapons gives the game a different feel and requires a lot more skill to deal with enemies. After all, you don't have a sniper rifle, flamethrower, machine gun, or automatic rifle.
It's all about picking the right time to attack, when to withdraw, and when to just go all out balls to the wall, because you can die any minute from a well placed enemy attack.
