great, I just changed the migration.create to this:
$table->increments('id');
$table->timestamp('deleted_at')->nullable();
$table->timestamp('created_at')->useCurrent();
$table->timestamp('updated_at')->default(DB::raw('NULL ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP'))->nullable();
