can you turn camera off/on via cell phone bluetooth?

what's your solution for lens protection, because the sticky cover is quite poor quality it seems...

What kind of audio do any of these provide and are there any with surround sound or spacial Atmos type of audio?

I'd say that there are 2 major things that I don't like about the x3 is how much the lens scratches (that is understandable) and you can't save the 4k videos to your phone via wifi. I know I can just use a computer, but my computer doesn't support the software.

Hi Ben. Does the Insta x3 accept the DJI Wireless microphone ?

Now, 9 months later, hhow did the softare/firmware change? Is it better now in some aspects?
Also: are there any better 360 cameras that are in like the 1500$ range?

Specifically for virtual tours, is it worth the extra 250 bucks for the x3 vs the x2??

I still miss a good sensor with more than 60FPS. Seems like it either gets to hot or not affordable to produce. IMHO the sensor for a 500 € action camera is crap...same with GoPro hero 11 not having HDR, like wait what?

I bought mine off eBay for vacation to Grand Caiman for diving, i currently own two GoPros which im a huge fan of and only bought the Insta360 because go pros 360 camera isn’t good for diving.
Im probably going to sell it after vacation so I can wait for gopro to release a GoPro max 2. I will be sure to upload some footage of my diving so that other swimming enjoyers can decide wether or not to buy this camera! I’m supposed to head out tomorrow and my first dive is on Tuesday, I am scheduled for a night dive on Wednesday and am really looking forward to that. I’ll post videos of each.

I think that one point you're missing is that megapixels have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the image, but with the size of it. MP is often confused with quality....

Can I edit the videos on a Windows PC ?

I think the price is great, the other camera either double the price or $300 more for almost not visible difference ! Worth ? I don't think so

72 MegaPixel but file size is only 8MB haha Marketing BS, not really happy about the Photo Quality but maybe thats the max those toys can get?

It seems like you base your review on someone who already owns a 360 camera and is wondering if they should upgrade to the X3. All these comparisons to older models aren't really connecting with someone who is looking to just get into 360 and wondering if this is the camera to buy.

When I am trying to adjust angle and save it’s not happening. It stills exports in original angel . Why so ?

Hello I want to buy a new motorcycle vlogging camera. The previous camera was GoPro hero 4. This just freezes now so it's time to upgrade. I like the idea of 360 but will mainly be using on my helmet or handle bar mounted as a camera to capture the journey. I am conidering the insta 360x3 or the insta one rs twin pack. Which should I choose? Oh and I need to be able to connect a microphone which will be mounted in my helmet.

I Honestly thought this would End the use of My GoPro However this is NOT the case. X3 Constantly Crashing. Having to down load GoPro plugins to Edit the video is a Joke!!!

Just returned my Insta360x3...would not record over 3 minutes and made it's own decision on when to record those 3 minutes of video. Tried everything...same issue :>(. Was awesome for 2 weeks...

Help please, I got the X3 camera and I see that in normal 360 video outdoors, the image is too white and unclear, while in other modes (photo, 1 lens video) the image is normal and clear. Why is this happening? How do you fix this please?

What about the "megapixel fallacy?" Wouldn't a boost in the number of (mega) pixels only give you the benefit of being able to enlarge (zoom) the image? Just looking at three unmagnified images with different pixels quantity should actually look the same, right?

I am having difficulty getting my Samsung phone to connect to my instra360 camera. Just says it could not connect, but doesn’t say why. Anyone else having that problem.

I would have to say the initial user experience is pretty dire, certainly the most convoluted method of getting files from a device to my Mac that I have experienced in a long time, firstly the device does not connect via usb, for some reason the micro USB would not read in finder, tried two different card readers, and putting the card in an SD sized reader. The only method was importing files to my I phone and then using Finder to transfer them from the phone to the Mac, all so I could deal with them on the Mac Studio app. I would have to say my initial DJI experiences have been way better and their devices can be read directly by Mac’s Finder. Come on Insta get that step sorted .

do your homework.. it aitn got 72 mpix, jut as little as Dji Air2 had an 48 mpix sensor..
Its a quad bayer sensor a tech from Sony.. that will slash each pixel into 4 and call it a day...at the end of the day its 18 mpix in X3.. not 72mpix.. its misleading to call it7w mpix and the benefits on quad bayer sensor, are extreely relative on so small sensors and why you wont see any differences vs fx 18 mpix, as that is what it is..
