Thiem losing 0-6 in the last set is alien. How did this happen? Also, Dimitrov was unplayable at times. Excellent match! 🙌

Dimitrov played very well, but I'm wondering what the hell happened to Thiem. He seemed weary and slow, his shots much weaker than usual.

Thiem was just too spent , no footwork . Hope its not an injury. Having said that , he does use a lot of muscle power in his game , and gets exhausted easily after 5 setters. Cant see him winning too many majors given his style.

As a Dimitrov Fan so thrilled for him well done, big win!

I really wish the best for Dimitrov in this tournament. Karatsev has shocked the tennis world so far this tourney, but Dimitrov has the mental strength to not underestimate his QF opponent and I think will dispatch of him easily. Thiem was all out of sorts this match. It may have been shorter than his match against Kyrgios, but the two competitive sets were more physical for sure. He's seriously gotta work on his recovery after long matches. He has the stamina to stay competitive in a 5 setter, but it seems like this happens often. Where he just doesn't have the energy even after a day of rest in between. I know Federer and Nadal are inhuman, but they must be doing something right in terms of recovery to play as well as they do in grand slams, and they're no spring chickens. (See Federer AO 2017 where he had to win three 5-set matches to win that tournament)

I knew from Thiem's body language very early in the 1st set that he was not going to win this match. Now none of that is Dimitrov's problem. Bottom line if you're on the court then you're on the court. Whatever problem you're dealing with the minute you step on that court I don't want to hear it. I like Dominic but I can't even say he mailed this performance in because he was just god awful. I am confident he will make a strong showing at the French Open as he 's been a finalist there in recent years.
