i've tried crafting. still cant make anything. I have backpack full of mushrooms, flowers, paper, essences, more mushrooms, and empty potion bottles. o and more mushrooms, did i mention i have lots of shrooms? but i have no idea how to combine or craft or anything. o well, i bet it doesnt work any how. help

Uh, can't combine a scroll and skill book of that class to get that skill book. Doesn't work for me.

that potion thing also works with poisons, so if you're undead, you can make a ton of smaller poison potions out of empty bottles and ooze barrels, then combine them all into mega potions. I wish you got a bottle back with it, too, since you're basically just pouring the potion into another bottle, but whatev.

A simple but nice one is shells and a long branch. Makes a staff equal to your characters lvl. Makes for a great profit selling them considering the value of the 2 items needed to craft it.

HELP! Whenever I find a recipe tome it says that “x” number of recipes have been learnt. How do I find this list in game? (Running PC). Thanks

The ooze barrel is just really useful overall. Combine it with potion bottles (or healing pots but idk why you’d do that) for poison potions that are essentially healing for your undead.

I've got about a hundred hours into this game and I'm starting to understand why everyone says they've got 300 hours of game time from just exploring Fort Joy.

This makes me excited for when Larian finishes BG3.

talon of something+ potion = similar grade poison.

I don't consider making lockpicks any useful, because if you don't pick up fane or another undead, you're doing something wrong xD

The poison barrel thing doesn't work on bows, crossbows, or wands...But does work on melee weapons and arrowheads. At least, that's how it is now in the definitive edition.

My friend bought this game so we could play together. We went on a campaign for like 2 hours then he wanted to play dork souls. Has been 2 weeks now and... he still wants just to play DS instead of DOS. Ds2 has like 9 hours up until now while DOS still has 2. Must i kill him cuz infinite stuborness and stupidity? :)

I find it's almost always better to just pick up the skill book from a vendor than craft one. The only times I could see crafting skill books are to access a few skills a few levels before the game starts selling them, or acquire a skill for two party members at a critical juncture.

The best item to craft with is source orbs am amazed u didn't mention them

combining potions doesnt work for me, anyone know why?

The poison healing potion is honestly a waste of red dye. It's a fairly expensive item already, so using it to harm an ally seems like a waste. Unless you're a stingy player, chances are your ally will have their own healing items or skills too

Hahaha I turned all my weapons into poisonous by the ooze barrels and now I have a lil hard time trying to beat the undead

Here's a VERY strong one
Paper + Source Orb + Carrot = Ethereal Storm Scroll
That's right. You can cast Ethereal Storm, which usually costs 3 Source Points, over and over again at relatively little cost, as Carrots and Source Orbs are both infinitely obtainable from merchants. If you have Ambidextrous you can cast it multiple times each turn too.

I feel so f*cking stupid right now, for all the recipes make a lot of sense.

I love charm arrows, but are you sure that you I can make it with just beehive and arrowhead? It didn’t work
