Arthas takes up Frostmourne and kills Mal'ganis (Reforged)

These cutscenes look so... goofy. Unpolished. This is supposed to be a remaster, but it feels more like a good graphics mod for Warcraft III.

The voice acting feels....less impactful, lacks the booming vibrato that holds the weight of emotions which this feels, lacking, instead it's more clean. Just as the same they did with Starcraft 2.

I think a good improvement would have been that Mal'Ganis would not rise to the skies after he died. But falling on the earth after the strike and being engulfed by fel or some kind of magic. That would explain him being transmitted back to the Twisting Nether.

You can see the shift from Arthas, from "I would gladly bare any curse to save my people" to "damn the men, nothing shall prevent me from having my revenge".

Was it really to save his own people or for his own selfish revenge?

What a bland scene, no emotion at all. Horrible.

Apart from everything mentioned, the new score is completely unnecessary. The original was perfect.

In the original script Arthas says "I am so tired" after he kills Mal'ganis and before he goes into the frozen waste.
Too bad they didn't let it in...

The original where he used his book and hammer to actually channel the spirits and free the sword from it's trap is actually much better than this!

I can tell based on the camera angle shifts and some of the animations that someone did try to make this good..... but it's incomplete and looks overall way worse than the original. Terrible.

So malganis becomes a balloon?

Malganis's death might of been lousy but this cinematic trumps the original. The way malganis walks around arthas as it pans and zooms and how the camera gets closer to malganis as he asks arthas. And how arthas is behind his back at the start. Those shots are far better than the original which is just them standing in thesame spot with thesame camera shot. And the raining isn't ruining the background music. And the silly exaggerated running arthas doesn't do as he walks away or attacks malganis. He looks far more epic here as he walks away with pride. His attack here also is far better. The way he stabs him. The appearance of their models is also very impressive. This really is overall a better cinematic. When he got frostmourne here it looked better too. The way his hair changes colour compared to the original which didn't. Its just one thing malganis's death that looks silly and the second which is their mouth not moving in sync 100% boo hoo. Wow well guess what guys? Boo hoo its just two small things when there's like 10 better things in the video than the original so who cares? There's a real hakkar virus out there called covid so who cares? You need to prioritize what's worth worrying about. If it's a big thing like if you lost money from the stock market then sure. And its alright to criticize and point out faults but when you go overboard over tiny things and take it personally and talk like it bothered you alot then it means you are a spoilt little brat that takes life for granted. The next thing youre going to do is cry like a little girl about if your 3090 gpu dies or if you had a car crash and your car is damaged. WHO cares. All that matters is you didnt get covid. That's the most important thing. You didn't lose an arm or you didn't lose your brain from some disease. Dont you even stop to think why they made malganis's death less grotesque? Maybe you should appreciate the fact they are smart and knew and just caretaked for you to make the death less gruesome because with lower pixels a gruesome death is not as bad. Yes they could of made a less gruesome death by making him turn into bats without any blood spraying but still. I understand why they thought that way. They cared for you personally by making it not so graphic. And lip syncing isn't impossible to fix. Boo hoo. The graphics might of sucked for its time but it's still an improvement. Yes the original wc3 had better graphics and cinematics for its time but this game has notably better cinematics. But not comparing to the original real life cinematics which were insane for back then. Like arthas freeing the lich king or destroying lordaeron etc.
