You've done 2 "best jump starter" videos. May I suggest doing a best solar battery charger video?

You didn't mention charging. None of the units I looked at came with AC chargers. I find it hard to believe the charging claims for the USB C ports.

Your review videos are great. Who needs TV when you can watch Project Farm videos? When do you plan to make the next jump starter review video? I’d love to see how the Clore Automotive JNC325 jump starter as part of the review. It’s currently the top pick on most sites based on a Google search.

As always, another smashing review video. I search PF anytime I want to know the best out there for any product. If I want a feather pillow, then my search is going to be,”Best feather pillow Project Farm.” If I want the best Nevada brothel…..OK, JUST KIDDING ON THAT ONE! (Hope you laughed 😳)

I appredciate your channel and it's working. A lot are biased towards one product, where yours is not. You individually review them using all the same methods so that none of them can show as beneicial to the other and keep the tests universal

It would be useful if you put a DC current clamp on those jumper cables when you tried to start the car, so we can see exactly how much current the starter needs. That would be useful in sizing the jumpstarter that you need.

I know this video is old but cranking voltage below 9.5 volts is useless. So when your load testing load down to 9.5 volts and read the amps. Thats all there is. No 10 million amps. Reason being vehicle power train computers can fail to operate at voltages lower than about 9.5 volts. Mopars in the late 80's well into the 90's would fail to start if the battery voltage dropped below 10.5 volts. They cranked fine but never even tried to start. On the other hand I have seen Fords of the same vintage run fine in the 6 volt range Best bet is to monitor voltage while cranking and call any cranking voltage below 9.5 volts a fail no matter if it cranks or not.

I had 3 different lithium powered jump starters before…they have short life span before they died out, switched now to super capacitors jump starters and very happy with them…never go back to lithium crap!

I wonder if those capacity ratings on the case are calculated based on total battery capacity vs your results of usable battery capacity before the BMS shuts them down. Either way, it seems rather deceptive. They should be regulated the same as food is.

I got a charging pack like this that came from Walmart. I used it twice and it died.
I don't recommend any of these from Walmart. Walmart wouldn't honor any warranty because I had owned it for more than 90 days.

Is there a practical reason why you see such huge engines in the US? As a person from europe, for decades we mostly have turbocharged 1.0 to 2.0 liter engines while most petrol cars are from 1.0 to 1.5 liters. Most engines in the range of 110kw to 135kw. Those engines still last us for about 300k km so the expected lifetime of an engine cant be the reason. I honestly only see downsides in using big displacement engines. Mostly in regard of fuel consumption. I drive my car (2.0 TDI @135kw) with 4.8 liters of diesel on average over the last 130k km, while pushing it to its speed limit (230kmh) on regular bases.

It's all fun and games, but those all have the same problem: you need to ensure periodically that the battery is charged, and it can't be stored in the cold, i.e., you can just store it in the car trunk to use it when needed. It's fine if your car doesn't start at home, otherwise, you kind of need to predict you'll get stranded.

Personally, I have switched to a supercapacitor jump starter, I can just keep it the trunk of my car and forget about it. It's ready to go when I need it, or someone else need it, it will work even when it's freezing cold outside. It saved my butt quite a few times

I told all my lady friends with horse trailers to get the big NOCO. Expensive yes, but way cheaper than missing the horse event and the cost of a tow. They mostly drive diesel trucks to haul the weight. They also use it for jumping the trailer-lift battery, which fails regularly. Thanks for the testing Project Farm.

I know this video was a year ago but are you sure you got the price right for the Yesper YJS40, I just looked it up and its going for almost $250 and that's Walmart's price. Following your provided link, it takes you to Amazon's Yesper 4120A model not the YJS40 model in your video. 2 years ago I bought a Avapow 3000A and it was pretty much junk, I was lucky if I got 2 jumps out of it on a 2.5l, 4 cyl engine. Your video was one of the most comprehensive comparison videos I've seen and its much appreciated.

Could you review/compare the Andeman EPower-199 model portable car jump starter?

The Andeman is basically the Audew brand refresh which is what Audew stated on there website.

The previous Audew you reviewed was the 155 model and would like the see if possible compare both 155 and 199 model vs all other top brand/models in the portable jump starter segment.

Thanks 👍🏼
