I came across this maybe 30 minutes before my first phone interview in 20 years, well my first phone interview ever. It went swimmingly, the 2 questions you suggested to ask put me into an entirely new bracket of pay and moved my application from entry to a management interview. The thing you should never say during the phone interview :

1. Never ask what the company does . (Find out yourself)
2. Never give one word answers . (Give in-depth answers)
3. Don’t be Negative what your speaking about.
4. Never mention holidays , time off or pay
5. Don’t tell them to read out resume instead of asking me.
6. Never say I don’t have any questions.
Ask questions like :

1. What do you want to me to concentrate on within the first 30 days of starting in this role if I am succcessful?
2. What’s the culture like within in the org?
3. What advice you would give to the successful candidate who wants to do the great job in this role?

I had a phone interview yesterday and I specifically said to the person interviewing me, “as you see on my resume”. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I wish I would have seen this video the day before.
