I just think its wild how the TF1 Barricade sound effect has essentially replaced the classic sound effect in Transformers animations.

I'm sorry to the artists who made these, but 90% of them are shit.

There are so many things that need to go into a good transformation;

Good-looking robot design.
If the robot mode looks bad then that can throw off the whole thing because you're waiting for it to finish transforming, but you realise that it's already done.

Physics and gravity.
So many of these clips have weird, floaty animations. I keep watching them and thinking "How is that character supporting their weight?" Transformers are heavy and they need to feel like it.

Parts management.
Some clips have parts that appear from out of nowhere and parts that vanish. It's ok to have parts appear and disappear, just don't do where the viewer can see it. If you need to move a wheel, have it go behind the model before doing so. Try to avoid having parts grow and shrink in the frame as well.

Clipping issues.
Speaks for itself. Parts don't just phase through each other.

Now, I don't want to be all negative, so here are some tips to take on board:

Use camera movements to hide sections of the transformation. It's kind of cheating, but they do it in the shows and movies all the time.

Have different models. Use one clean model for the alt mode, then swap it out for a new one to do the transformation (use as many as you need for the transformation) and finish on a final model for your robot mode.

If you have a land-based alt-mode, you can have them drive off a ramp and transform mid-air. That way, you don't need to worry about them clipping into the ground.

You don't need to have photo-realistic CGI to make it work! Good animation is more important than looking real. Take video games for example. The models used for Super Mario have never looked real. But it works because they're always expressive and have good physics.

Transformations are hard to do, but if you take on board these tips, you'll be a professional in no time :)

Hello guys, for whom didn't follow me or my posts, I'd already said as the material is running out, is it okay if I used actual Transformers Characters (Fanmade only, not the official one of course) and people did agree. So yeah very sorry to who is new here, but for now, you will be seeing a lot "Transformers" instead of the "Non" ones.

Some of these are kinda dumb but then there's those really interesting concepts. Why have they not used an R34 Skyline? I'd like to see that be a thing. Also a really cool Ultra Magnus clip.
