Now that I have fully woken up from Christian fundamentalism I look at people like this gentlemen and I just want to cry. Fanatical Christian fundamentalists are so lost. No not their souls, they are lost mentally and psychologically. 😢

The only thing I’d argue is that God is the one that draws in first, He is always there but you have to reach out to take His hand, because yes, we determine whether we want to take His hand in the first place and then when we want to tighten or loosen our grip on Him, sometimes we’ll almost let go and start to fall but He’ll be there to catch us again if we try reaching out again, the story of the Brazil conference is so good and it’s another reminder of what God’s been trying to work into me lately because I also realized that I still don’t have that reverence for God or the Spirit as I should, the idea that keeps popping up is this: present yourself as a holy and clean offering to God, let go of who your past self was and let the old man die and believe and act in a way as if Jesus is coming back today. I can only blame myself for falling to my sins that I still do, I don’t ever blame God but I can’t just keep apologizing and thinking we’ll be fine, I need to toughen up against my sin, focus so hard on God that I don’t lose faith like Peter walking on the water, if anyone sees this I hope you understand the same thing and you’ll join me in finding a greater respect for God and the Spirit and will continue to smother the old self and let the new creation in Christ take up the whole self, God bless y’all

True! Proverbs 9:10: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." It's when you fear and revere God that you get wisdom. Christianity that doesn't emphasize this doesn't have God's wisdom.
