is the TPS adjustable on the fuel injection pump? If so you might be able to do minor adjustment on the the TPS. On diesel Vehicle TPS i have found the throttle cam ware where it contacts in the the pivot in the TPS causing erratic voltage to the ECM.

so a physical cable goes to an electronic box that mimics the movements of a physical cable. well that makes a ton of sense lol.

I would try increasing it on the yacht commander then decreasing it back at the motor. It is probably getting worn out in its working range and by doing that you may end up using some new teeth on the gears.

There should definitely be a adjustment screw on the fuel pump lever one for low idle and one for full throttle

Try adjusting the cable on the injector pump.

As just shown it’s not all plain sailing owning a boat. Luckily Jeremiah is a vet who worked on aircraft so has a great engineering background. Now when we look at our childhood I bet most won’t have the memories that Rhys is going to have, surrounded by a loving mum and dad in the Bahamas.. can it get any better lol

You can get spring loaded throttle cable ends, whereas your cable moves against the spring, and you can adjust the idle speed at the end throttle stops. So this way, your electronic throttle controller is not your throttle stop. Morse Cables sells throttle cable ends which are spring loaded, so you can push against the end, and have some adsorption against the engine throttle stop-linkage.

I don't understand the attractiveness of these fly by wire steering controls. Just another thing to break. ,Mechanical things are much easier to fix and diagnose.....in my opinion.

You can do a fine adjustment by screwing in and out on the cable where the linkage connects to the cable. As well if you are going to change it out I would recommend the ZF controls, much better built to say the least.

Can the linkage be adjusted on the control box to fine tune the RPM to the controllers set point?
