I remember a movie from when I was a kid were a gang of thugs used potatoes as silencer. I do not rembember the title of the film, but it was not a comedy.

I'm surprised the uploader wasn't aware of the reason that nobody manufactures silencers for revolvers; that much of the noise comes out sideways from the gap between the cylinder and the barrel, and a silencer on the muzzle won't reduce that in the slightest.
