The funny thing is thats like the go to move for most caster clerics in the tabletop.

Late game: cluster your party with Shadowheart slightly forward, Gale slightly back. Shadowheart casts lvl 5-6 Spirit guardians, Gale casts globe of invulnerability shifted just off center to cover Shadowheart, but not envelope the forward facing spirit guardians. When you get rushed by a ton of enemies, they’ll try and blast/shoot the crap out of you-but to no effect. They’ll’ then rush you and run into spirit guardians like a buzzsaw. If a 3rd party member can cast spike growth in front, enemies will be slowed and take damage as they approach. If they can’t approach, you can just pick them off with middles or canatrips. It’s basically a meat grinder when you’re overwhelmed with powerful enemies.

I have at least 2 clerics in my party at any given time and when I don't, I have 3

You can do the same with rats in the basement in act 3. There're so much rats too and all of them get obliterated in one move

Just use the channel divinity and turn undead. You save a spell and they will all go up in flames simultaneously.

Yes, clerics have been one of the most powerful classes since 3E, and spirit guardians is nuts.

Playing a cleric in 5e mostly supporting and healing the rest of the party. Final battle of the campaign against an ancient red dragon I buff everyone then cast gate. Couple persuasion checks later and we have 3 solars helping us out. That dragon never stood a chance

Try that with the rats in the gauntlet of Shar... Thank me later

I did this but with gale and firewall in the prison fight when capturing moonrise, cast firewall, sit inside the torturers room watch all the skeletons that get summoned walk through your firewall(add a cloud of daggers with another character to 100% kill the skeletons that walk through every time), wait for 100 turns of skeletons dying, profit

You only just knew about spirit guardian after 80 hrs.... damn...

I think Destroy Undead is simply cheaper and has a better range. Don't waste Spirit Guardians on shadows.

I have these boots on her that use Click heels as bonus action and suddenly I have 20 meters of movement (without dashing) and have an aura around me that destroys undead minions

First time through I got surprised by this encounter. But after looking through my abilities I just used her turn undead and they all instantly died.

My whole team are warrior cleric

another tip while this is active is just walk into enemies to damage them without wasting your action

As a DM, when my cleric casts "Spirit Guardians," I know the fight is over. That spell is just stupid good.

I picked Cloud of Daggers in another playthrough and did something similar, I couldn't believe the enemy AI was so dumb that these aoe spells that stay for more than one turn are so strong

My buddy made a cleric and I gotta say, kinda carrying the team a bit with the heals and some of the magics he has.

In the early days of early access, you could use this spell, and dash, and affect the same creature more than once per turn.. so youd switch on spirit guardians and just kite in and out 😁

Reading spells may have this effect !

Shadow touched lands becomes a cake walk once you learn it. The portal fight just cast it, and then have her dash around like a roomba, back and forth each turn sucking everyone up. And throw up a guardian of faith by the portal just in case someone slips through, just for good measure.

Yeah thats why she is imho the only way to beat the portal fight. Its just too easy to get overwhelmed before the portal goes down, but she makes it a brease (Well still took me a couple of goes, those dice can be tricky things sometimes as I play with karmic dice off lol)
