I would absolutely love to see a huge massive open world, mmorpg, lotr style game with giant community, factions and lore where the players make the story and events. Like an alternative fantasy reality.

I'm surprised among a bunch of those featured here there is no Pax Dei which MMORPG that I am most excited about.

95% of the mmorpgs being asian, i can't be bothered. They die in 6 months outside their origin just because people can't stand buy to win mechanics that ALWAYS are included in them eventually. Today you could call Diablo 4 MMORPG. Surprisingly it's not even that far off of an mmorpg from what i tried it in beta.

Riot's MMORPG is the only one I'm super hype about and have great hopes for. I USED TO BE hyped for AoC but I honestly think its just gonna go the way of Star Citizen in that it will never get released. The Day Before has potential, I like its graphics and that it seems to be set in an urban setting. I'm a big fan of zombie survivalist games like 7 days to die etc so i'll keep an eye on its development. What I would like, my "wishlist" if you will would be the following.

1. World of Darkness MMORPG. Maybe starting off with just Vamps and Werewolves, and with expansions bringing in other things in like Mages, Demons etc. It would for sure be a unique and different MMORPG, a bit darker than any other that is for sure.

2. Superhero MMORPG. Be it a new and improved CoH style game where we create our own heroes, or a game by Marvel where we can play established heroes

3. Star Wars MMORPG. Look SWTOR was a great game, but it is OLD and the graphics show its age. I'd like a new MMORPG set in around the same period so we can continue the Sith Empire vs Galactic Republic era as I think its the best one. But a game with updated graphics and new stories.

4. Lastly, a MTG game, particularly one set in the Ravnica plane with the 10 Guilds as the centerpiece of play. Give us a few races and classes and I would be interested. This would fill the WoW "High Fantasy" niche I need. WoW had that for me back in the day, but I really REALLY cant with the graphics and art style. The kid/cartoon art style KILLS ME, and the graphics and animations really show their 20 year age. Not that I need a hyper realistic art style, but FFS something that doesn't look like it was made for a 10 yo.

Excited to see Pat direct fell through because it cost to have a much more simplified skill sister I mean Doug the path of exile size scale, matrix or whatever I just can’t I can’t get into that

I share your feeling regarding of the interesting ones that could be good, same thoughts. I had Blue Protocol too on that list but recently dropped it for some reasons.

Good video summary with all the games, really interesting. Also some people in comments gave some very interesting details. I don't like pay to win, but Throne and Liberty seems the most solid release this year.

I get the feeling Pantheon is vaporware and only exists to keep a handful of devs employed... actually, a bunch of these are probably the same.
