Does it work well with the steam deck?
ОтветитьTina is more of a stripper name, good call going with Terra 😅
ОтветитьIs this a real port or is the base game emulated?
Ответитьdespite currently being on FF IV PR, I'm waiting for the VI differences video to hear the difference in the battle theme so I can decide if I want to use the PR OST or mod in the SNES OST
ОтветитьI freaking hate the lack of any animation on text/font vs original snes/gba. They are lifeless and instant like playing Pokemon game with instant text option on.
Pixel remastered is more like glorified way to sell remastered OST player.
The opera scene is better with real voices. It seems they made the voice of Celes to sound less than stellar on purpose. Maybe not the best choice.
ОтветитьFiddle and rock at this point is an FF staple
ОтветитьThat Step Counter is there due to an ability using that for its damage calculation...Step Mine first showed up here and not FF12. The original Opera scene used a piano synth to do the voice btw ^^;
ОтветитьOk my impressions:
The script is very good.. i miss some parts of the old SNES one but no one can denies that the current one is better.
Gameplay changes and QoL are good and what we expect from the PR series.
The music, they made a much better job on FF6 over FF5 remixes, i aprove a lot.
The gfx how ever i'm not sold, i miss the old SNES darker color palet, i miss a lot in fact this game is dark!
Also the intro mode 7 was a missed opportunity to add 3D hills and rocks when they are marching with the MagiTech Armor.
All in all good but the brightness is a turn off as a button to switch on old and new gfx and music.
The font is horrible.
ОтветитьIs there any way to zoom the camera out, outside of battle? I assume it’s more zoomed in because they just cropped the SNES aspect ratio for widescreen.
ОтветитьThe best way to play this game is still the famicom version with the Ted Woolsey unleashed patch. Honestly, just do a video on the various ff6 patches so people don't waste their money on this. The original is head and shoulders better than this
ОтветитьThe two mayor gameplay changes I've noticed are that you can now input commands with other party members while Cyan charges his sword techniques.
Also, no weapon in the game bypasses either the Genji Glove or the Master Scroll's damage reduction, both of which stack btw.
The first change is a significant buff to Cyan's usefulness since you are no longer stuck, waiting for him to reach the desired level.
The second is a pretty noticeable nerf to one of the most op relic combos in the original, at least before stat maxing or getting the ultimate weapons.
For comparison sake, if all 4 hits of the Dragon Horn landed with a spear, and I had the Gauntlet equipped, the damage was higher than a full GG+MS attack that landed no crits.
If you add that lances do full damage from the back row and your character becomes fully invincible while jumping the G+DH combo is now a pretty acceptable substitute.
I just think every single one of these pixel remasters is a fail. I think square was nailing it 100% right with their remakes on wonderswan and ps1 and even into psp. They just have botched the art style, contrast and over all look of these games. The only great thing from the pixel remasters is the music.
For the games that got ps1 releases it might be a fun project to inject the pixel remaster music into them.
Doesn't seem the music has the "remaster" that some of the other PR games did. Not saying it needs it, but I won't lie and say I wasn't looking forward to some changed instruments (thinking about "The Red Wings" from FFIV PR).
ОтветитьFinal fantasy vi:definitive edition HD 4k 60$
ОтветитьIs this better than final fantasy 6 T edition?
ОтветитьLooking forward to the port comparison video!
ОтветитьThink I'll stick to the OG on an emulator with a good CRT shader. I love the music, but the colors are just really off.
ОтветитьDon't like how the gamma looks higher than a GBA game
ОтветитьDo they still have the Controller 1 and Controller 2 option? So you could play with a second player controlling other characters in battle?
ОтветитьThe mod Austin mentions is called FF6ROSE. It’s amazing and I personally think it’s better than TWUE. Check it out on RHDN! It’s got a LOT of good QOL features. :)
Edit: If the audio is skipping for you, rewind the video. That fixed it for me.
Edgar's Theme is awesome as usual.
ОтветитьTHE BOSS THEME FUCKING SLAPS
ОтветитьSpeaking of bug fixes do the sun glasses make. You blind
ОтветитьMy way of dealing with the stuttering is to cap the FPS a few frames below the refresh rate of the monitor. My monitor is 60Hz and the FPS is capped at 58. The stuttering is way less noticeable this way. If the game is too bright, try lowering the brightness in the game's configurations. Maybe that is enough rather than having to mod game to have it look like the original.
ОтветитьThis is an absolute abomination. For the love of God everyone, play TWUE 3.0 and avoid this stain on the game’s legacy.
