Let's Build an Outdoor Vault at Boston Airport - Fallout 4

Dammit, so I need to finish that DLC in order to get access to the Vault parts in other Settlements? But the "Experiments" that the Overseer wanted to do were so lame.

Is this an update thing? Because I tried making an above ground Vault but couldn't access any of the parts.

The REALLY worse part is that I had the perfect set up for my OWN Vault Experiment. The Experiment was the Roid up Humans and have them train like crazy and then have them fight the Wasteland Wildlife, basically I'm making SuperMutants without the Mutants.

Why not just drop all your weapons and go into build mode and store them it will give you more build space

Been trying to build a vault in Boston Airport with my survival mode character. It's taking a while. Bypassing the small size limit by scrapping weapons is very tedious due to the lack of fast travel and area respawns and buying them from vendors would be unsustainable. It's just not practical, but I'm trying anyway.

You dont haft to scrap the stuff you can store it

The build limit was weird. I have way more pieces in Vault 88 than there are here. And I'm on PS4. I guess it's based on the size of the build area?

Anyone else notice how the outside vault door opens like the Vault 13 door in Fallout 1?

Sometimes it's painful to watch. Not to bully, honest, as I understand console version is different. But man, I've started building more complex stuff when I've had enough experience about what clicks how and with what. Right now I'm in the middle of a megaproject in Vault 88. I don't know if you have the scrap everything mod for console, but use something like that, it works wonders against rubble and unscrappable objects. Keep it up, man, I like your videos!

The build limit really hamstrings outdoor vaults in a lot of settlements. I tried an all vault settlement playthrough and after building an atrium to house a reactor, there's not enough build space for much else, especially rooms for beds.

Actually I never really played around in Fallout 4 building any bigger settlements... because the snap system in Fallout 4 is just trash. If you play like Valheim, a shitty little indie game the snaping works like charm, not like that in Fallout 4, which I had a fallout with, lol.

This is so far about 8 mins in probably the most frustrating fo4 build video I have ever seen. Putting down the supports in probably the most counterintuitive way possible, and you couldn't carry on as far as you wanted to because your first one wasn't straight and it threw the rest out which made adjusting the height to accommodate the unscrappable barriers pointless lol. You literally had a grid on the floor you could have followed to straighten out the placement.

I met my match when Brotherhood attacked with power armor knights with Gatling lasers and SEND THEM FLYING bats.

I was hit so hard I flew through a window I failed to put glass in. The vault tech guy I sent to Sanctuary greeted me “it’s nice to see you again” as if it’s normal to see a Halo Spartan to fly through windows holding a nuke grenade

I got up in time to see Nick go blasting off again in the sky, Piper throw a grenade watch it bounce off the power armor and hit her, knocking out if the fight, Nora stop mid combat to grab a worse weapon than the gun I gave her (she picked up the LEGENDARY pipe pistol that deals damage to uncorrupt beings and heals everyone else), Danse get clobbered over the head with a bat so hard I saw him do a backflip and flew into Cogsworth, knocking him out; the only smart ones was Kellogg and Father who RAN for the nearest power armor depot I had made for the settlement and held the ground till all attacking brotherhood were dead.

Funny thing is I always, from first buildings, used Vaults for settlements. With the idea of radiation storms not being any effect to living areas.

So many complaints would be answered with the parts right in front of you...

I have never understood the logic in clipping objects while building settlements. It's like the game has a mind of it's own. So frustrating. Sometimes you can clip almost everything right where you want them, and suddenly the game decides "Nope!" even though it should clip. But building a flying house with out support? Game goes like "Yeeeaaah I'll pretend I didn't see that..."

That vault door looks like the vault doors from fallout 1 and 2 !!!
