Wow what a beautiful game!

Keep the medics in the back and break your infantry into 4-5 man groups, really helps with moving forward, and to hold a victory point you can hide a couple guys in a building so the enemy can't fully capture it in case man power is low.

I got this game a while ago and am slowly going thru the learning curve. I found watching veteran gamer play it is a good way to learn. Really like the commentary explaining your thinking! Thanks looking forward to following your campaign!

This game reminds me a lot of my favorite PC game, Command and Conquer Generals. I might have to get it myself

Yes Wolfpack.. Recently got into this myself.. Got many hours, but have exclusively been playing as Germans :) This game slaps.. Looking forward to playing the other factions. And the upcoming DLC, omg, looks awesome. Anyway, hope you can shake off those sea-legs and give the soviets some hell. Love your content :)

have you done more gates of war videos? i cant find any other series? i was just wondering because i find thus game fascinating as a console player. id love to olay but the only one i've seen consistently put out videos on it is bokoen1. im gonna love this series. im finishing up your war on the sea japan campaign series too
edit: seeing the tech tre and progression id get some semi auto/ machine gunner infantry upgrades. maybe riflemen with all gewehr 41/svt40s? definitely get a mg34. but thats just me and what i would do

Use some land mines they are great very entertaining and effective against armor and invaders

I like the detail, and the graphics. I wish it had pause and orders, or was turn-based.

Little side note of history, look up the Finnish Air Forces logo from this period. Was very surprised when I visited a Finnish Air Museum and walked in to see a 3m banner hanging on the wall.

One thing that i like to do is give my medics rifles as it gives you a some amount of fire power and can help keep them alive

Mortar please. Not sure if there upgrade for it, but I had an uncle in a mortar team in ww2. So that’s something I would like to see.

Wolfie - please play this game more. I love the 20mm, Hella powerful. IMO, you should dedicate a squad of infantry to it for protection. If the Soviets run with a T-34 or KV-1 you’re in deep trouble. Can your infantry use Molotov cocktails? If so, if placed correctly, very useful for fighting armor when you don’t have the right AP guns. The German Pak-36, 37mm could be made deadly against any WWII armor believe it not by using a specially developed shape charge round called “Stielgranate 41”. Unfortunately for the Germans these rounds were few and far between, but they sure worked and at just about any range because it was a shape charge and velocity was secondary. The Germans nicknamed the Pak-36 the Heeresanklopfgerät (Army door knocking device) given its inability to penetrate heavy armor (unless using Stielgranate 41).
