Exploring Raccoon City OR Not! Resident Evil 3 Remake

The complexity of these games is mind blowing. Imaging all the work required to design the world, populate it, make sure every scripts runs at the right time, managing cameras and lighting, special effects, reacting to user input... Kudos to Capcom developers and all their contractors.

Coming back to this years later I'm just staggered by how lazy the development of this cash grab of a remake was.

They cut so much stuff. And like it didn't even feel like I was running through a city.

My real questions with zombie apocalypse is : why is there so many fires and explosion. Turning into a mindless creature doesn't make unchecked stuff go boom in a min. i always felt like they exaggerate explosions and fires in zombies stuff. How roads look more like warzone from artillery bombing than Roadblocks to fight against zombies.

Does anyone know if there's a mod that allows to freeze a cutscene and then explore it using free cam? The one I have doesn't really work plus the cutscenes cannot be paused.

There's not much to explore because this game is way too linear and gameplay just serves as temporary set pieces for more cutscenes and it shows.

RE3 Remake was so disappointing but this was interesting for sure.

The city is actually really big but it feels so small in 3rd person view because of how close the camera is.

The cutscenes is very cinematic. It feels like watching a movie shoot.

Dude who hides in the container has never made any sense to me... If I'm a guy and someone like Jill is there to take me to safety, I'm down. At least if things get desperate you have something pretty to look at 😂😂

Very interesting the way the scenes are put together with the different lighting and positioning of the characters etc between camera angles. Literally like how a movie it put together, but since it’s all rendered in real-time (which is impressive in itself), we get to see it all happening seamlessly with the camera mod

On the PS1 version you can actually visiting Racoon City in the game and not only some random streets :)

What do you do when you need a car to slam your character into? You spawn it mid-cutscene, of course!

Those load scene frames were very odd looking. Idk if that was editing on your part but it looks really really weird
