ОтветитьAutophagy comes from Greek and not Latin. I think you wildly overstate these benefits for which there are few long term studies. Humans are not mice and you don't even cite this study. I think fasting can be very useful for weight maintenance but a lot of the other stuff is fairly unsubstantiated.

ОтветитьGreat video. I thought about fasting a while now but never really researched the details you need to consider. The concept of fasting for 1-3 days in a frequent way was eye opening for me despite it’s quite straightforward.
Also very impressed about the papers you mentioned here and all the corresponding explanations. Was really helpful. I will start the first fasting for 2 days this week and will watch the video again tomorrow.
I would say this 40min was the most engaging time of my life, which is a lot considered i have adhd and having hard time focusing on one thing for a long time.

ОтветитьI have been fasting annually for 4 years. I had a moderate case of psoriasis. Furthermore, I was taking a biologic to fight the symptoms. The first year I fasted for 14 days, and it made my psoriasis dormant for an entire year, leaving no traces. I didn't take any biologics, topical, or light therapy. After a year, the symptoms returned, but were very mild. The second year, I fasted for 10 days, experienced the same mild symptoms and only periodically had to take a topical for my scalp, knees and elbows. To the third and fourth years, the symptoms pretty much remained the same. I plan on fasting for 14 days the next time and see if it removes the symptoms entirely again. I want to add that during the year, once or twice, I'll do a 3-day and a 7-day fast.
Ответитьconsider buying water from Europe. There is very good information on the internet about which water would have the most minerals in it to help. Many of the boiled water brands from Europe can have from 20% to 48% magnesium, calcium and salts in the water that our body needs. eg. SanPelegrino from Italy has 20+% of daily need for magnesium and calcium. Some German and French ones have up to 48%. Highly bioavailability in these waters. Expensive but worth it.
ОтветитьSo would a protein shake in water (I’m working out every day. Usually 30min on elliptical and 30 min on weight machines) I drink these to help with recovery of my muscles because I’m pushing harder and harder on the weight machines.
ОтветитьIm currently 23 minutes from day 4 of my planned 7-10 day water fast. I aim to go for 10, but I will see how I feel on day 7. For now I feel ok, and actually still have energy for Parkour, Trampolining and exercise. I have electrolyte powder i add to my water though for Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium and it has 6g of Carbs which keeps me in Ketosis.
I am not getting super hungry anymore, I do get a little hungry, but its more that I miss the joy and activity of eating. So I hope it resets my body, makes me think more about what I eat such as trying a Keto diet to reduce carbs and Glucose, avoiding sugar when possible or as a only on a few days a week treat etc. I am planning to stick with what have been doing regarding intermitting fasting all week, with now the change being a 48/72 hour fast every week. I hope the IF and the 2/3 day weekly fast combined with lower carbs and Sugar really helps my fat storing to decrease, insulin levels to drop and an overall healthier body and mind.
