I apologize for the coughing during this 2012 video. I am not a smoker, I am not sick, I just took a drink of water before shooting the video and got some water down the wrong pipe. I was shooting a video for my students and I was in a hurry.

ОтветитьMy model a ford you have to double clutch because the transmission has no synchronizer rings. One has to align gear speed with road speed and engine speed. A three speed box does not have third speed of four speed, in theory you are skipping third gear. I had tramisdion my Mercedes Benz the rings were worn I had to double clutch I liked people could not shift and they did not want. You had to watch speedometer and tachometer a 1987 500 sdl

I also finally understand why the wheels sometimes spin a little in neutral when the car is on jack stands, watching you move the clutch around when it was in neutral you can see the very small amount of friction still transfering a tiny rotational force to the output shaft. Interesting!
