Wastewater treatment is a complex process affected by a complex set of factors and
different types of pollutants threatening wide ecosystems.
ArtWater project utilizes several ICT technologies like sensors, wireless networks, IoT
devices, data-driven optimization software, development tools and open platforms to
form datasets from collecting input from an oil and grease removal tank.
Thanks to feeding data from IoT sensors to an AutoML system based on the Gradient
Boosting Machine method, ArtWater provides visualized predictions of sulfuric acid,
copper and zinc concentration.
This application can have a significant impact on reduction of operational costs in
wastewater treatment plants and industries, on citizens’ health preservation and on rural
tourism.
