I am so sad the way he left Barcelona: he wanted to stay, waiting for a new contract for months, then a day, he supposed to sign his contract, he was told, the club could not register him so he had to leave. He could not say goodbye from fans, he could not have his farewell match... such a shame on Barcelona, could not keep their biggest legend and could not give him a farewell he deserved... Barcelona just did not deserve him. PSG hopefully will appreciate him more. I am happy to see him smiling again. Wish him all the best in his new club, hope all his dreams come true. Will be nice to see him playing again with Neymar.

This guy should be ending his career in Barcelona, playing a farewell game in front of a sold out crowd. What a horrible way to leave, but I guess things could be worse. He gave them everything and has more than repaid Barca for what they did for him as a child. A living legend who will be sorely missed.

I feel really sad about how Barcelona has treated this, such a fuss about not wanting him to leave but honestly doing nothing for him to stay... If they didn't have enough money, why the hell did they sign contracts with Depay and Aguero? It's as if they wanted to get rid of Messi or didn't treat him as a priority...
I supported Barça for many years, but since Neymar left (not saying it was because of him) it seems like the administration has been taking more and more shitty decisions to the point where I now resent the club and can't stand it anymore.

This is gonna be harsh but I've had it. So many clueless fans, who can't be bothered to spend 5 minutes googling, blaming Messi for this. He agreed to a 50% pay cut. Also, Barca is still at 95% of the spending to revenue ratio even after he left while La Liga rules require 70% so even if he agreed to play for nothing they couldn't keep him.

Also, google "market value". He's the best player in the world & brought in 30% of revenue so he deserved every penny. Don't compare him to your lazy, dumb, useless, talentless ass & whine about how much he was making. If you become the best in the world at something (hell, even top 1,000 would do) you'd also be making a ton of money. But if you can't understand simple concepts above it probably won't happen for ya so you can jealously bitch about other people till you drop dead.

There isn't really much to say about this guy. His level of humility and modesty is astonishing and impressive. I view him as a perfect example for any player whom has a good potential to reach a great level.
I am at loss for words and deeply sad at the fact that the world wouldn't get to see the mouth opening,jaw dropping instances that this genius regularly offers. At least, he has established his claim as the greatest of all time. I'm content with that.

Amazing that a man who earns incredible sums of money each week was asked by his employers to take half his salary due to whats happened around the world...
