basically I want an all terrain light weight go kart

this thing with a 660cc inline 6 Kei Car spec engine.
but I dont know where I can find a sub 1 liter inline six, or even if such a thing exists. probably does, but high chance it's a 2 stroke sports bike motor. probably something that would take up less room than a 1.3 I3 sohc, and put out the same there-abouts 50 or 60hp, but would be perfect for anything and everything. a 660cc 12v or 18v sohc or dohc I6 with dual carbs, in 2 or 4 stroke with a pretty square bore/stroke, or with more stroke than bore, and can at least get up to 6000-6500rpm WOT, would be perfect. perfect for a small all terrain kart type chassis mid mounted transversely with 2x4 or 4x4 capability, depending how I can figure the drivetrain.

Would out run a model T ford. Maybe a hill might cause a problem.

For someone that's poor they could buy this engine.u can modify the exhaust and put a flatslide carb and install a flywheel.Or put 2 cyl engine.mount the alternator

Imagine haivng a 15HP lawnmower engine in it. You'd get anywhere with ease and your fuel economy would be around one gas tank per year.

Don’t like Honda at all, in fact there is only 2 Hondas I’d own. First is a first gen, red NSX, and second is this one. There’s just something about it that I like so much, but they were never sold in Australia so I’ll never even drive one.

In 2023 those engines sell for $159 when they are not on sale. Still a great bargain, I love the Predator engines.

The Japanese and French have been doing this for decades.

I love Honda Insights! I'd like to point out that the first gen Insight that you have came with ultra low rolling resistance tires that lasted damn near forever. Not sure what tires you had running during that jeep+trailer pull, but it probably wouldn't even have had spin if it you had even some basic eco tires on it. Very impressive!

I like what you did with this car, On your acceleration problem, they solved that issue on diesel engines by putting on a turbocharger, so had you thought about adding a turbocharger to the motor, to help improve that acceleration issue?
