How To Fix Elden Ring Keeps Crashing Issue [Updated 2024]

Verifying game installation, nvidia (gpu) update available, all over lays off (Discord / steam / xbox (microsoft)) fixed this problem for me.

I played 400+ hours without this issue, didn't play for months because of it. I am now 2 hours into the same launch since this problem occured.

Since the most recent nvidia update this month, Elden Ring has been crashing randomly during fast travel loading for me. I verified game files, and now I am reinstalling. Fingers crossed. It crashed on me earlier during a fast travel load window, then when I logged back into the game, it spawned my character under the ground, killed me, and I lost all my runes without being able to collect them lol.

This was essentially useless, might as well have thrown in a “check to make sure your computer is plugged in” step too

I only ever seem to crash specifically outside the boss door of Magit

i remember beating the game like 2-3 months ago and everything was fine. then i bought the game again to have another fun experience then i find out i couldnt even launch the game without it white screening and then crashing. they obviously made a dumb update

I click on a character and the loading screen goes by fine, until the very last part. Then it kicks the bucket and throws me to the desktop.

Update your graphics drivers don't do that if the game is working. nivdia drivers for some reason make the game unstable and crashes on launching the game

My elden ring keeps crashing at a specific spot, like at raya lucaria Or in limgrave throne, tried verifying files but that didn't work

Edit: reinstalling the game worked

Turning off ray tracing, introduced in patch note 1.09 worked for me.

how are you able to get such accurate voice ai?

I cannot run ER as Admin. I right Click and go to properties, all I get in tabs are General, Web Document, Security, Details and Previous Versions. There is no Compatibility tab. also all the other fixes do not do anything, my game still crashes about every hour.
