I am a black man born in America and I have never been to Africa. Africa is a country not a race. My great great grandfather was born in Houston Texas and fought in world war 2. I am an American and never heard of a white European American.

The reason i would call them black Americans is because I’ve ran into a situation where the guy was Jamaican. You wouldn’t call a Jamaican an African American. Or what if the guy was from England? Would you still call him an African American? Black is a broader more appropriate term and less confusing

I won't marry her .for the simple fact of the hand out purse. She is pretty I can easy fall in love with her. If we click and she accepts me than I will be her man . If marriage is necessary it will be done quietly without any of those traditions. I my society is Jesus christ number of members 1 only me and her will be 2. I have associated my self with the lauder day saints church of Jesus christ .simply becuase they have helped me . Exactly, Smokey Robinson is a representation of black American heritage and identity, he has green eyes and light complexion skin that is part of the black ethno group. Which means that he is not a pure West African heritage. most black Americans are not.

William "Smokey" Robinson is perfectly right. Like him, I am not an African American, because I was born in the United States of America, and not in any other country in this world. I know that the Lord and Gracious Great God could have put me in any country, but I am satisfied to be born in America. I care not to accept any other title that men and women gave me and not the Lord gave me Himself. I only want to remember from where I am at, so that I will know where I want to go, and that it is heaven to live with the Lord. Therefore, I remain unashamed.

The term African American was simply used to give Black people an identity to their ancestral homeland. It was designed to deny your American identity. But I totally understand if some Black people are uncomfortable with the term African American.
