Mazda MX5 ND2 after 2 year and 20,000 miles - Likes, dislikes and what's gone wrong.

Hi enjoyed watching your video I noticed you keep the car outside in all weather including snow I have an RF 22 plate myself and I’m a member of 2 clubs there seems to be a lot of conversations about rust !! Just wondering what your thoughts are did you get yours undersealed and rust proofed! Thanks for any information, Paul

There are no blind spot in the soft top if you set your seat and mirrors up. The Straight Pipes did a review of this in their Mx5 review. There is no blind spot.

I didnt like the back at first either....now i love it. Certainly udentifiable character. Great job Mazda! I was wrong ! Sorry Mazda !

GET OIL SPRAY ! I do it once a year, it us great. Zero rust. Rain driving but no snow.

Nice phone solution. There is a conpany making phone holders that fit into the front cup holder also.

Storage is fine if your serious about packing. Dont forget , if you need more space (not sure about hard top) you can add items to the cavity behind your head when the soft top is up . Lots of room there ! Just dont throw the top down when there is stuff stored in the back window pocket. LOTS more room , im not sure most people know that .

Take your car in for the shifter issue. Let Mazda look at that. I dont have that after 50 thousand klm

Excellent review , as an owner i can say this review is accurate ! Although i oil soray so i dont have rust issues. And i dont a problem with the wipers. As for your shufter, try to turn it on tighter 1 more revolution.

I am thinking of getting an mx5, but there are speed bumps on my estate. What are they like for ground clearance?

Are we due a three year review Richard (& the dreaded MOT) or has it been moved on?

Is it the 2litre engine?

I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy an ND or an another NC as I’ve had previously. I’m 6’2” and read about how small the ND interior is. Tried one yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how well I fit. Better than my newish VM Polo. The only thing slightly bothersome is how close the A pillar is to my face. I guess you get used to it.

No punch starting at 1.5k in 6th gear? Duh.Who does that? Use your shifter, don't add weight and complications!

I stumbled on this video because I'm looking into buying a BMW Z4 or Mazda ND2 to daily drive whole year around. Sad to see the underside is rusting already. I would have thought they fixed it on modern cars.
