YouTube Premium Is Raising Prices Again! Here's What You Need to Know

I am seeing a bunch of other Australian commenters are the prices only increasing in Australia now are they trying to rob people that are already poor

I am sick and tired of creators putting ads and sponsorships in their videos when i pay for NO ADS. It should be criminal to allow that and it should be considered FALSE ADVERTISING. Why not just say, you can pay for premium to skip some ads HOWEVER you will have to watch ads and sponsorship promotions that creators put in their video now. These people are just going around the system and those of us that are paying for NO ADS are being manipulated, scammed, and ripped off.

I canceled about a month ago and I have no regrets. I have learned to live with the ads. Some reasons why I decided to cancel are as follows: Premium doesn't affect inserted paid sponsorships in the videos, I don't feel I was getting value for the price of the subscription, and well, I wanted to cut costs, canceled all my streaming services for that matter. Often, I wonder if there is a price point where consumers say enough is enough and just quit their service(s)?

dude, for me it says 19 for premium and 29.99 for family. Like what the fuck?

I subscribed like 1 month ago for 14.99 and then straight after they say they are increasing it another 2 dollars to 16.99 the fucking greed is unreal

I don't know how they can justify a family plan increase of $10 per month, let alone the other subscriptions. Most of the world is struggling, these greedy corporations wont adjust their profit margins no matter what. The only thing I can think they are covering with the increases is more fact checking censorship overlords.... they have AI & don't need humans as much anymore. So WTF can justify the $2 - $10 per month increase, other than corporate greed?

Seriously guys, I hate ads but after this price hike I just clicked cancel, then the 'Can't afford the price' button, yeah I'll be getting the ads now but at least I'll be saving money cause I'm on a disability pension, so ads it is (😔)

Australia for single have been slugged $15.99 for years, It's just gone up again and I've had enough because I've been missing out on what I'm supposed to get. No how many times I've begged and pleaded with Google to fix my problem, I've just been ignored. I've had ads shoved in my face all the time and I'm paying for it.

don't waste your money.... i just use it for info only from automotive standpoint..... get off the web, get outside and enjoy your money doing something productive or fun....

YT premium was worth it for the family plan at $22 a month. Now they're jumping up to $33 a month which is way too much. That's me done. Back to YT basic.

I'm in Australia and just got an email saying it's increasing to $16 a month for an INDIVIDUAL. That's insane. I'll go back to Facebook, most creator's I watch are there now anyway from all the censorship.

They now want $33AUD per month! What a rip off! I don't even use the music app at all. Why dont they have different price packaging. And get rid of the stupid mixs. You pay a premium prce but cant even edit your own preferences!

The crazy thing is, I looked up the price for one episode of Game of Thrones. The SD episode is $2.99 and HD is $19.99 per episode. Why is that price gap so large? It's insane. There's no justification for it other than greed.

No I canceled this week even at their lowest tier you still get ads and you don’t have the option to (play next) on a video. I just find it disrespectful of them to do that to us. Imagine how much their greedy asses lost already in canceled subs
