How I play:
1) Is enemy launching an atack?
1a) No -> Hit attack button and kill them all
1b) Yes - hit dodge and repeat step 1)

No potions, no decoctions, no elixirs or oils, no brain but tons of gains.

The combat system is trash. Its designed by someone who never played any action combat system and has reflexes of a chess player...

I actually play like the first one but I would’ve parried the bolt and killed him with it for being a coward

Its important to remember that witcher are basically, for a lack of a better term, super-soldiers. Therefore, they don't fight like humans. They spin and pirouette and react so quick that they can stop a crossbow bolt in mid flight. They were designed to kill monsters, and theres no monster capiable of such vile acts as mankind. So it makes sense that theyd be just as capible and efficient killing a man as they are killing a kikimore.

Gotta give this a thumbs down. CDPR doesn’t want you to approach combat with any particular style or tactics. They give the player pretty much full license to spec Geralt into any desired combat role. Your choices on the skills/abilities menu dictate your version of Geralt’s strengths and weaknesses. If you want to be a spin-o-rama whirlwind spammer, well… do it. But there’s probably a dozen other (and better) builds for Geralt in TW3.

Also, the spinning attack is “Whirl”, not “Rend” 🙄
